What's It About: Comic Relief

Since 1986, Comic Relief has inspired US to have a laugh while raising cash to help change lives. Using comedy to help raise awareness and funds for those in need. Comic Relief aids the homeless and people in need, particularly in regards to disaster relief.

Comic Relief is an irregularly held event, televised on HBO, which has raised and distributed nearly $50 million toward providing health care services to homeless people throughout the United States. Comedians Robin Williams, Billy Crystal, and Whoopi Goldberg are hosts of the event.

Founded by comedy writer, producer, and actor, Bob Zmuda.

NBA Comic Relief
An unusual sports event takes place when a new commissioner decrees that basketball will no longer be a serious sport -- and some of the greatest players in the NBA compete against an All-Star team of comedians.
