U.S. POLITICS....and green issues

Just thought I'd open this one up since Elections for
the U.S. are coming up...
I am really glad that Obama has stopped the
Underground Oil pipeline Express until after the elections
This is an issue for all people across this continent.
I know most of them are thinking of the Big Dollars
But in my view people's health and reducing risks seems
more important to me.
My opinion is why don't they think about
expanding the rail system(none polluting, more fuel efficent),
make better holding tanks and monitor them by new
technology thus you have job creation in several sectors
The building of better, more efficent rail & containers,
more effective security systems(very hard to find pipe breakage
in the ground, and only find it after large amounts of seepage
has occurred)Send what is needed not as much as you think you need.
Budgetting for electricity is happening (eg. do washing after 7:00 p.m.
during low consumption time, then you don't pay as much)
Why can't we budget for consumption of fuel (eg. ride bike one day a
week to work or car pool which I'm sure some are already doing)
Have we discovered Solar Rail yet, is it possible? I wonder

well, let's just say he didn't really live up to his promises. everyone hates him these days and targets him.

Hate is an awfully strong word.
I think he has accomplish as much as he can
with what he has been given, I believe as with our
politics over here there should be good communication(not onesided),
negotiation and working things out for the good of all.
Easy to say, hard to do.
Sometimes the whole process seems like some kids fighting.
One wanting their way and the other wanting his/her way.

If they don't work it out, no one can progress.
I don't vote for a particular party, I vote for the one I think will
do the best job.
If you interviewed the President what questions would you ask him?
I'd start with:
How did you resolve problems in your own family?
Give me an example of communicating with someone who won't
listen...did you change the way you communicated in any way to
get a better outcome?
Have the people in your team been trained enough to meet the progressive goals that you have set? If not, how will you train them?
Those are only a few.
What does your family do to help the environment?

i kinda get the impression Obama inherited a 'poison chalice' when he took the presidency.........the previous bunch had made such a mess of things, plus the world was going into a huge recession......it wouldn't have mattered who became president, they were pretty much doomed to the failure set up for them........

I know creative types are usually democrats or left wing in the UK but I'm not I am totally conservative but never get upset with people who aren't love ya all and don't care what your views are, just seems sometimes it never works the other way round a lot, some people get instanly niggled before they even know you as a person.
