That first thing, yes...almost constantly, but I'm learning to try to talk myself out of it.

That second thing, I don't know what it is. Some kind of rash maybe??

Oh yeah....I was definitely that too.

If you feel like you might hurt yourself....go to the Emergency Room.

(This advice comes from love, but I really feel like a hypocrite since I attempted suicide myself...and it didn't work...)

However, you should talk to your doctor regardless. There are medications out there that can help if you have depression.

It's almost a relief to be diagnosed...trust me.

When I go through those medical pamphlets that have a checklist of depression symptoms, I can check most of them... but I do not feel depressed, at least not all the times... I think depression has become a characteristic of moderm society.

I've thrown my blue fleece blanket over my shoulders and made a fist in the air.

I'm now waiting for gravity to turn off.

Depression is a tough one to battle, but remember its a spiritual attack. Simply stated, surround yourself and pamper yourself with what you really need or want. You soul is hurting, make sure your eating healthy, don't drink alcohol (the worst thing you can do) don't do drugs and get as much sleep as you can. You body is in need of nurishment. OH, and sunshine. The mood is affected by the amount of sunshine a person experiences. There's even a fancy label 'SAD' Seasonal affective disorder - Don't underestimante the power of sunshine (Vitamin E)

Along with the great advice above, I would add.....get a massage! While certainly not a cure-all, it has incredibly restorative qualities. There are usually massage schools around that offer discounted massages for their students to practice...trust me, even the massage of a "just learning" student, received on a regular basis, can really do wonders!! Touch is incredibly powerful--the physical benefits are numerous which include the release of chemicals in your body that promote 'good feelings'.....massage helps your body move out of a stressed place (where nervous system is sorta "stuck" in a sympathetic response of fight or flight) and switches it to the parasympathetic system where the body can restore and rest. I know I sound like a commercial or something, but look for schools, spas (if your pocketbook can afford it!) or independent therapists on-line or in the phone book.

Shoot, if you live in my "neck-of-the-woods" you should come see me!! The spa I work at is http://www.bellissima-spa.com

Spas do tend to be pricey--don't let that stop you....there ARE schools out there that will have 60 minute massages for around $25!!

Have you ever noticed the credits on Jims movies? He has had (and perhaps still has) a personal massage therapist! Massage is an incredible thing, being a therapist is healing for me in addition to receiving regular massage....going to massage school during the roughest part of my ex's leaving me and the kids is probably what saved me. I received regular massage from other learning students just like me---I can't tell you what a difference it made in my mental stability. I would cry during many sessions.....I love it, I know its so healthy for you.....check it out and let me know what you find!!

I sleep on my stomach with a cuddle pillow. So it's actually really amusing to me when she comes in and starts that. I giggle.
