Good post, Marissa.

Sometimes people get angry and a little bitter. And misery loves company. Lost my job two weeks ago and to top it off last night my housemates told me It's better that I leave the house because they just don't like me, personally and don't get my carreer choices. It's so different from them. And they are unable to accept that and found themselfs gossiping behind my back and ignoring me on purpose in conversations. And then their concience knocked them on the shoulder and they decided it's better to get rid of me before things escalate. I'm pretty damn pissed off and dissapointed.

Sometimes someone is so pissed off or dissapointed for a bit that you don't bother to fake a smile like people are usually supposed to do in society. And there is nothing you can do about it till it cools off and passes.

::small edit::

LMAO. Ok call me a weird freak haha. With all the soap Oprah like things happening in my life at the moment, I decided to experiment a little. I was thinking some more about this whole fenomena and decided to take a pic where I pose my "everything is FINE face" and then a pic NOT posed. The not posed one kind of shocked me. LOL. Never realised I look so pissed in my neutral phase. I wish I could say that one was posed.

interesting...isn't it. Is Jim still taking meds?

Postby cotton » Tue Jan 27, 2004 1:59 pm

It seems to me that he may have stopped taking them. When I was taking them they left me unmotivated and I gained lots of weight and I was only taking 40 mg a day. Lots of other people I know had the same side effects. Jim doesn't seem to be lacking in motivation(jogging 8 miles a day takes alot of motivation)and he certainly isn't gaining weight. He has said in the past that he has tried different prescriptions. So now I am starting to think that maybe he doesn't take them anymore. Maybe he gave up with them. If so I hope he knows what he is doing.

Edited by: cotton at: 1/27/04 2:05 pm

He just might be going through a bad phase. He's just become 42 and some people can be 'funny' about aging...I don't know if he is. He may be fatigued from all the films he's been doing. I don't know if he's going 'cold turkey' from his medication...if he's actually been taking anything.Perhaps, we're imagining too much into this situation... Cableclair, if your housemates are being nasty to you, maybe you should be looking for new ones. There's no need for people to be

Nah Ruthy they already decided I really have to leave and I don't wanna live there anymore. And yea it's difficult but I'll find something.
Tonight was awesome though.
we were having dinner, tonight three of us (2 of them)
and they were talking about casual things and I was talking along haha Alll peace. *GRIN*.
and then all of a sudden on the most harmonious moment WHACK I take a sip of my drink, take my moment and say: "So, expain to me now why it is exactly you guys hate me so much you don't want to live with me anymore." with a wide strong grin on my face.

Man their faces. PRICELESSSS. PRIIIICEEEEEEELESSSSS. Cuz they have nothing to stand on. Nothing. And every lame excuse I just calmly denied it and proved the opposite. Actually one of them didn't know about the whole desicion untill today. (he wasn't there when they brought the news). And I just replied: OH. *GRIN*. That's interesting. "The whole house decides" huh. Interestingggggg.

Man they were sweating. SWEATINGGGGGGG. Revenge is so sweet. Ohhhh yea.
cableclair

www.soiledmypants.com<-- my site
Failure isn't failure unless you give up...

Hey CableClair!

I insanely agree with your post where you showed us your photos. I deal with the same thing. But even though, in the first photo, you are trying to have that nice look on your face, it is in the eyes that you are not really feeling that way. That is what I see in Jim. It is not just the look on his face or the things he says, but it is in the eyes as well.

Sometimes things get so hard in our lives that we fake a smile for awhile, but then it becomes too hard to do it ALL THE TIME. After a while, at least for me, I start to feel like I am being someone I am not or like I am faking it all the time.

Yes, I am still a fun , caring , nice, helpful, goofy , outgoing , and sincere person. I love to listen to people's problems and help them with any advice I can give or hand I can offer. I know that is inside me, it always will be because that is who I know I really am. But when I am going through hell (like I have done in the past year), it is hard to let the real you out to play because the sad and depressed you starts to take over.

But when you start to have that fake happy face on ALL THE TIME and you know you really do not feel that way, people catch on to that, and it makes them not want to be around you and then you become even more depressed! It is a vicious circle! I have been dealing with that lately. So I completely understand what you were saying.

And who knows, what if that is what Jim is dealing with right now? We have all seen him for the longest time as "Jim-Carrey-The-Goofy-Happy-Funny-Successful-Guy". But he is a human being and will, of course, have normal emotions. No one is happy all the time, no matter how successful you are in life. Because there will most likely be at least one area in our lives that is not as successful as another part. Does that make sense?

I am so glad that there are others who get me and understand what it feels like. By the way, I am thrilled that you stood up to your evil evil housemates! Don't Believe Everything You Read in Tabloids

Postby carreyd away » Wed Jan 28, 2004 1:41 am

It's interesting that E Online reported that Jim was seen walking alone shopping on Ocean Blvd, but these photos taken the same day show him with David Allen Grier and a couple of women.
www.imlimages.gr/fotoweb/...d%20carrey

Two nights later, David Allen Grier was on Loveline (a radio talk show program with Dr Drew and Adam Carolla for those who aren't familiar with the show) and he was asked if he still kept in contact with the In Living Color Gang. He said that he had just met with Jim for lunch and they were discussing the possibility of a In Living Color reunion, however he said there were no definite plans of it ever happening. He also said that Jim had asked him to possibly act in one of his future films and that he and a few other actors regulary get together to play a little basketball, Jim, David Allen Grier, Will Farrell, and sometimes Craig Kilborne. Wouldn't you love to be on the sideline of that game? Dr Drew asked David if he thought Jim was manic, he said people think he is but he really is just extremely hyper active on camera, but is the exact oppisite in reality.

I don't think he was bitter on the Golden Globes, I think he is sarcastic by nature when it comes to the "Hollywood Machine" and all that it entails. He is picked to present on award shows because the producers and directors know he is unpredictable and often goes off the deep end, which is good rating and good TV. He must feel the pressure to be funny so sometimes he does exactly what they don't want. I feel that is when he is his funniest.

I clicked on this link that you posted to see the pictures of Jim and those were some pretty good pics, I must say. I had never heard of that website before.

It is nice to see him out in the real world with friends without Hollywood antics thrown in. It is Jim just being Jim. Being a human being. I like to see him like that.

In the end though, I only felt guilty looking at the pictures because I know how much Jim hates the paparazzi. I know that he would love to be able to walk down the street and not have cameras aimed his way all the time.

The prices of fame, as they say...........

Love & Humor,
Marissa
My Jim Site: Jim Carrey Is My Inspiration!

"If you give up on your dreams, what's left?" - Jim Carrey
Email Me @ jimecarrey2000@yahoo.com

"I don't feel like doing that right now" that sums it up for me, Marissa, Claar, you know what I'm talking about LOL

ok um... yes, I think Jim is bitter about something, maybe cuz he's single, maybe cuz he has family problems, but I think more of him being alone. He seemed to kinda die inside when him and Renee broke up, I saw it at the People's Choice Awards, he didn't even go to accept his award and there was a quietness over the audience. Ever since then he's been bitter, he's dated all these girls like Betina *grit* (as Claar says) and none of them seem to fulfill his desire. Maybe I'm wrong, maybe he's really happy and we just think about him too much. I go through depression, I've had a helluva rough year(s), my grandma died last month and my mom had two aneurysms this month and I have ZERO help, only support and kind words from my friends and family, we're poor as hell and everything is a struggle. I'm not even motivated to clean my room, I have piles of clothes all over my floor. I don't take care of myself either. I haven't had a boyfriend in almost 4 years, so life just sucks. Well anyway I'm done, cuz I don't want to get too emotional and throw all my problems on everyone.

~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~
J.T. And that's a pretty sight.

And force yourself to take care of yourself (at times it's a struggle, I should know) but it's the small things like that that make life seem less sucky.
