Comedian Richard Jeni Dead

Hollywood is grieving the loss of a well loved funnyman this morning.
We were all shocked at JCO to hear about the tragic death of Richard Jeni, comedian, writer and actor.
A regular on the tonight show, Jeni died of a gunshot wound in a suspected suicide on Sunday.
Popular on the comedy circuit, he had starred in several HBO comedy specials. One, "Platypus Man," won a Cable ACE award for best standup comedy special and most recently "A Big Steaming Pile of Me" was screened during the 2005-06 season.
He also had numerous Guest TV appearances and co-wrote the 2005 Academy awards, hosted by his friend Chris Rock.
Among his numerous movie credits he played Jim Carrey's best friend in "The Mask".
