The art of the ephemeral
22 Jun 2001 Anne & Jenn were so kind as to send in a short video of the destruction of the beautiful Mabel's Diner. At some point there was even talk that this fully functional set could be left intact after filming was completed, and we agreed it would have been a very nice thing to maybe someday stroll into Ferndale and have a soda in such a lovely piece of movie history. Unfortunately, it didn't happen, so now Mabel's Diner will live only in the moving frames of "The Majestic"... which really isn't a shabby fate at all.
