Voice Recording Officially Underway for Sonic 4

"Sonic the Hedgehog 4" has taken another major step toward its March 2027 release, as Sonic voice actor Ben Schwartz has confirmed that voice recording for the film is now officially underway. Schwartz shared the exciting update on Instagram, posting a photo from the recording studio alongside director Jeff Fowler and editor Al LeVine. He wrote:
"Voice records for Sonic 4 have begun!
I. Am. So. Excited. For. You. To. See. This. Movie."
The update comes shortly after live-action filming wrapped on the highly anticipated sequel, meaning production is now moving into the next stage as work continues behind the scenes.
Adding to the excitement, Tails voice actress Colleen O'Shaughnessey also shared an update from the studio the following day. Posting several photos on Instagram, she wrote:
"Fun times in the studio today!!
Next March can’t come soon enough!!!"
With both Schwartz and O'Shaughnessey back in the recording booth, fans can look forward to hearing Sonic and Tails return for another adventure. Recent story details have already confirmed that Amy Rose and Metal Sonic will make their big-screen debut in the upcoming film, making Sonic the Hedgehog 4 one of the franchise's most anticipated entries yet.
