Jim Carrey's Height

I've been researching Jim's height for some time now, and it can be very confusing. I've recently been posting on CelebHeights trying to figure the nearly inextricable mystery out. Anyone seen him who could verify his height?

I've noticed the same thing, but he's between 6'1"-6'2". I would picture him there...i've heard a lot of different things but that's what I basically found when I looked at other sites and on imdb.com.

Jim answered that question himself In the courtroom scene in Liar Liar. Fletcher Reede is trying to figure out how to get a continuance in court and decides on doing himself bodily harm in an effort to gain sympathy from the judge, Fletcher is asked to describe his assailant (himself)

Somehow I don't believe he's 6'2". On episodes of "In Living Colour" he appears the same height as David Alan Grier, who is at least an inch shorter than Damon Wayans. Nearer two. I think that height he gave was in shoes. I'll just throw it out there. I think he's around 6'.05". He's 1.5 inches shorter than Morgan Freeman. My real hope was to find someone who's met or seen him to give an estimate.

As a side note, doesn't 180 pounds sound a little heavy for him?

lol.......but even someone who's met him wouldn't be able to tell the difference between 6ft 1 and 6ft 2.......not unless he was standing poker straight against a measuring chart........lol......

re his weight.......that was his Liar Liar weight.....he's looking very svelte and buff at the moment so he's probably lighter.

I always thought he looked 160-165ish. Well, most of the time. In "The Mask" he did not look over 170 - more like 160. Recently, in the beach pictures with Jenny McCarthy, he appeared very skinny in one picture - very bony. My estimate still stands that he's a strong 6'er. A good pair of shoes could make him appear 6'1". But I really don't know for sure.

Anyone know who the "official source" was who reported him at 6'1"?
