I've run into him a few times and formally met him once. I was nice, polite and cordial, even talked about some fun stuff, but played it so cool as to not be "one of those girls". I think my intentions were good, but it certainly made me kick myself in the ars. I strive to be my authentic self at all times now because life is so short...so if the Universe were to give me another try, I think I'd enjoy the moment instead of turn into a nicely chiseled ice block.

I think the calmer you are the better the impession-
Anyway-as of today I have no chance of meeting him, I'm engaged, far and my boyfriend is really something else-
Infact I don't think Jim has any qualities I'd like besides the fact that he is smart, talented and handsome-them fade away-

Bah hum bug!!!!
I kinda think the older you get the wiser you get about stuff like that..........being Authentic is one of the most important things i reckon because you only really get to know yourself through it...........
If you fabricate a persona you lose sight of you...........and ultimately there comes a time when you reject that person.........
if i were to meet him i'd smile (as always).......and probably get a bit giggly.........but it's all academic since it won't happen........

ahh............reservation...........
i guess i'm a bit like an open book these days..........of course i keep certain elements to myself...........and i'm fiercely loyal and private when it comes to certain relationships................lol.......i'd sooner stick needles in my eyeballs than break trust...................
i guess we reveal what we feel we can live with people knowing about us........

Living in L.A., it's hard to find "authentic" people. I have 2 friends that I trust and talk to, one is in England the other lives in Hollywood but is on location in Louisiana shooting a feature film until April 2006(and she's not from L.A. originally). It's too overwhelming for me to keep up with all the drama. There are times when I think I'd rather move somewhere like Canada, wheere it seems people don't care so much about one upping the other. When I'm working, I'm myself with people, always cracking jokes or what have you, but I don't nesessarily invite them in, if you know what I mean. I say "bugger off" to the Fakey McFakersons!
