lol..yeah you would ..........in Scotland you'd probably just say 'yes, very too'..........or if you're a real teuchter (pronounced chooquter)....you might say 'och aye'.
very educational, I love different languages and dialects,
variety is wonderful.
Something I do wonder about...
Here I would never think of talking about the queen as "Mum"
or "MaM"
Is this term short for mother as in "Mother of the Country"
or as in Madame or Mrs. or your Highness
Mum seems so casual unless it is for Mother of the Country because I
think of a mother as one of the greatest things in the world to do or be (for me anyway) and to me then it would be respectful.
You often hear of English actors referring to saying "Mum or MaM" hard
to tell which it is.
Mum is usually what we say over here to our Mother.
I wonder if "Mums the word" came from this since kids are often try to
keep information from their mother.
Just curious.
I also love different languages and dialects, it intrigues me how slight things are altered in different places.
I would never call the queen "mum" or "MaM" I think MaM stands for Mother of the Country, but I wouldn't shorten it like that, I think she along with mothers deserve the proper titles.

You saw Prince William?
He is lovely indeed. I wish I had the chance to meet the
Queen. I did a report on her last year, she seems nice.
With all due respect, she is in fact a true lady.
Indeed she is a true lady, I also did a report on her a couple of years ago. I met Prince William about a year and a half ago in Windsor he was there with Prince Harry and Prince Charles but I did not see them.

You're a lucky girl Em! However, if it was Jim you met I would envy you. Just joking; I would be glad for ya! Hope we'll both meet him
someday...that would be a memory for a lifetime. Yours being as you are...
your sweet and polite self asking Jim for an autograph; mine would be
me seeing Jim and shaking his hand and then DARKNESS.
Not much of a memory for me cuz I fainted.
That would definetly be a day I would never forget. I am sure your memory with Jim would involve more than darkness, something special would happen, and then total darkness! I have no idea what I would say to him!
