Yep, I agree. He wants it bad.

Comedy being about 'truth' and all...he's made way too many digs about the Oscars (and his apparent exclusion) in the past. Which indicates that he'd be partial to having one on his mantle to dust occasionally.

I think thats another reason why the Academy (ie all the other 'real' artistes who've already been recognised with the honour...makes me gag) refuse to nominate him. He's blunt about it. Everyone else plays modest and self deprecating, when they're just lusting after it even more than Jim!!

God, I just hope when he does get one, he sticks it to everyone who didn't believe in him, in what will be the best speech of his life. He's so great at those!!!

I don't know why he is waisting his time still acting and waiting for an award for best performance when he can win a better one for best directing...

fluffster, don't you need two, to hold up both ends of the 'loo roll'?!?!? if he directed his own movie, we could still see him - that could work and would be nice.
