I think these pictures are timebound to the 80's/90's and that explains the clothing/tans etc.....re the dog, Steven DID have some wee dogs....
remember it's a true story so it's entirely possible that the producers had photos to base their reality on. I don't think they are camping it up any more than the reality of Miami beach circa that period in time.

Oh ok I see what you mean. I just assumed they are dressed like that cause thats the way people dressed in the 80's. So I am not really sure if it is supposed to be funny.
