Hello, my name is Chris Nichol and I'm from Garden City, Michigan. I was browsing through www.comingsoon.net and came across this news. Being a huge Jim Carrey fan, I immediately went here to see if anyone has posted this news yet. I then e-mailed you guys as well. But posting this on the main forum would probably be a better idea. I've been a fan of this site and have been going to it for many years but I finally managed to recently signed up on JCO forums not too long ago though. I hope I get credited. Thank you! :)
Universal Pictures has set Jim Carrey to star in Sober Buddies, a comedy Carrey will produce with Stuber/Parent's Scott Stuber and Mary Parent and Michael Peyser, says Variety.

Andrew Kurtzman is writing the script, about a hard-partying software executive assigned a court-appointed Sober Buddy to keep him under control during a critical business trip to Las Vegas.

A perfect plan falls apart when the Sober Buddy (Carrey) falls off the wagon.

I know what you mean. I've been a member for only a few months and I usually didn't have time to reply when I first started but I got better, lol.

I don't know what tone this movie will have ... is it going to be Jim Carrey running, pulling faces and make a lot of loud noises (Liar Liar, Ventura) or a more serious comedy that involves some more serious acting also?

In the last case, I would like to see him against Greg Kinnear or Paul Giamatti. :)

As soon as I read the snyposis, he came into my mind. He's one of my favorite actors.
