I liked dumb and dumberer aswell. I thought eric christian olsen did jims character well he didnt try to imitate him.. which i hate to see... also the fact that harry a loyd are younger makes it easier to take in (if you get what i mean) in son of the mask (which i didnt even bother to see because even from the trailer it looked rubbish).. isnt there still stanley in it?... but obviously played by some other dude..... so Ace 3 may not be as bad because they arnt using someone else to be jims character its his son.. so they may be able to pull it off like dumb and dumberer.. but we will have to wait and see..... im willing to give it a chance. .. but i definatly dont want to see just some kid doing ace impressions throughout the movie!... it should be someone older i think.

the whole thing would not make sense at all. To me the kid would have to be a teenager because by now aces kids would be all grown up anyway but then again if it was a kid and they were leaven off on wherevert then that would mean there would have to be someone playen the actuall ace and that itsef would be garbage. I cant see them putting together the story right so i dont knw................ and why wait so long to build a sequal anyway??????

There could be a really good twist in this....
where Ace has a tragic accident or something like that and becomes like a 007 type, not nerdy, not weird but amazing, how about that one?
If his kids are in it, they may not even recognize him as their dad, he
would be so dedicated in his 007 job that he is the all consuming undercover guy, not the dad they knew. Could be a Jekyll/Hyde movie.
The question is who would be the Jekyll and who the Hyde?

Re: "Ace Ventura 3" In Development
Jason and Justin Heimberg -- as far as I know -- had nothing to do with the original Kingpin. It was written by Barry (sp?) Fanaro and Mort Nathan. I mean, I thought a sequel to Kingpin -- probably without the original characters -- is bad enough...but an Ace Ventura sequel without Jim Carrey also? What the hell? Is that all these two brothers are good at, stealing other writer's thunder?

I agree that to have a success you need to have....
the one who made it successful in the first place,
Jim is exceptional and if he does no sequel on this, I see not alot of
success.

that's unbelieveably gay..................................how many times do they have to loose millions of dollars before they learn that they can't do it! I mean, how can they possibly make an Ace Ventura 3 without Jim Carrey, HE WAS Ace Ventura!!!!!!!!!

Ace at 70 would be hilarious. Even at 70, Jim playing Ace would be 100 times better than someone else playing Ace. I do not see the point in making another sequel of Jim's films without him in it, do they not see the pattern that is rapidly rising.
