We used to have Dynasty parties (80's) dressed up in evening gowns, pate', hor's d'eourves, champagne etc. to watch the miniseries.

LOL I once went to a party dressed as a homeless person, of course, it was in a movie, but it was fun lol we were dressed as homeless people and there was trash everywhere and carts all over and I hit my head on a fire extinguisher fighting over an empty bottle of wine and cat food...fun fun lol

Romantic couple party
In college we had a lot of theme parties, still had a lot theme parties afterwards. Keeps people thinking young. Romantic couples of the millenium, stuff like that.
i must admit that the best i've done was at a halloween party....we (me and six other navy wives) dressed up as the california raisins. i have a pic i can post whenever i figure that out. the costume was my idea; i had to adapt it and build around it....everybody loved it though (even those of us who had to wear it..!). we danced through the restaurant to 'i heard it through the grapevine'......good times. all without our husbands, who were thousands of miles away underwater. those were the days...! that was also my first outing after my daughter was born - she'll be 18 tomorrow. yikes, i have some catching up on fun to do, don't i?!?
