There's no reason to use 'Jim Carrey' other than to grab the readers attention.
As far as living in a barter economy, a LOT can be analyzed. It's like saying
what if we were still living in caves... would 'Jim Carrey' be able to mAKe jokes ?...lol

I wish they used Jim in examples like that n schools. I would have gotton all A's.
