We have come to the end of another year here at JCO and theres' no time better than at the end of a year to look back as well as forward in the life and career of Jim Carrey. This year "Horton Hears a Who!" and "Yes Man" were released. "Yes Man" is still playing in theaters and is doing good at the box office. In a few weeks it will cross the $100 million mark.
To promote the films Jim made appearances on all the major US talk shows. His schedule included the following shows. Click on them to check screen captures in our Gallery:

When he was in Madrid he was on stage at an Radio Award Show where he was honored for his films. One of the big events was also the 'AFI Night At The Movies' where Jim presented one of his best films "Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind".
Jim's girlfriend Jenny McCarthy's son Evan was diagnosed with autism when he was 2 years old. Jenny has been an ardent spokeswoman for families and children touched by autism. This year Jim got more involved in the fight to find the cause and cure for the condition. Together they appeared on CNN, The Oprah Winfrey Show and Good Morning America. In June they joined the 'Green Our Vaccines' march with thousands of people raising public awareness of the potentially toxic additives in childhood vaccines. In September Jenny's new book 'Mother Warriors' was published. Jim contributed with a heartfelt chapter. Jim Carrey's next film, the documentary "Under the Sea 3D" was filmed this year underwater with sea animals. Jim will do the voice work as the narrator. The film will open exclusively at IMAX February 13, 2009. Another film Jim has been working on is called "I Love You Phillip Morris". Based on the book by Houston Chronicle crime reporter Steve McVicker and it is going to be released in February/March with world premiere January 18 at the Sundance Film Festival. The third film he has been working on this year is the CGI motion capture film version of Charles Dickens book "A Christmas Carol" which opens November 6.
2009 promises to be a busy year for Jim Carrey, with 3 movies hitting the big screen and a proposed HBO sitcom hitting the small screen. Lisa Lampanelli will star in the sitcom, with Jim acting as producer and creative adviser. The pilot will be shot early next year. It has really been a fantastic year! The good thing is that next year will be much better...
