i'll reserve judgement because i find Ben Stiller irritating............perhaps they will compliment each other well...........i hope so........
Jim can be the likeable cookie babe magnet and Ben can be the dry, boring babe repelllent.............lol.....
Sounds about right.........life imitating art............lol

That's a pretty difficult lineup...

for competition, all of the other movies 1st's were major successes,
lot a competition. The story better be reeeeeeeeeeeeeeeal good.
My opinion release it either sooner or later, and during a holdiay etc. when people have time to go.

I have just looked it up on IMDb, and there's an interesting conversation about it on there, that they should drop Stiller, and get Matthew Perry to do the role.

Now I know it'll never happen, but I'd certainly be in heaven if it happened.
*Thinks about THAT kind of movie for ages......*

It sounds like a fun storyline, but Stiller? WHY? He's beyond annoying, and he's not THAT good at acting. I don't find him funny at all, I just want to slap him the whole time! He was a complete ass character when he guest starred in 'Friends', and his tiny role in 'The Cable Guy' was laughable, and sick.
All his other movies were rubbish as well.

hhhmmm..........Mathew isn't in Jims league........he would be way out of his depth and it would really show on screen.......he'd look terrible next to Jim.......

Fluffy, you are totally dead for saying that.... never speak to me again.
You also spelt his name wrong - twice.

You can't possibly say that, because Jim went for many years as the guy who could only do funny roles. Only in the last 2 years has he earned the respect of other people for his one convincing dramatic role - Joel.

What makes Stiller any better? He's a complete prat, and he CAN'T act!

I'm not just saying this as a Perry fan either, but I get tired of people saying he's a bad actor. He's never been given the chance. He played Chan the Man for 10 years, and he got stuck as the silly man. His movies have bombed, because of the storylines, not because of his acting.
Did anyone see him in 'The West Wing'? They labelled him as the next Tom Hanks after he did that role.

lol........ ......sorrreeeeee  .......lol.........awe babe don't be mad.....i just see something in Jim that others lack.....and yes i agree with you about Ben.......i think he's a one trick pony.....a cynical, awkward, dry, funnyman....but there's no real soul or depth to him.....i find him formulaic now..........Jim's not afraid to take giant risks and leaps of faith...you've gotta admire him for that.

So i'm sorreeee for offending you Hon.......lol........forgive me??........pretty please??........lol..

Well, you know I quite like Ben Stiller. I won't rate him as a true favourite, but I do think he's quite funny. The 'Meet the Parents' films were OK. Plus, the man behind 'The Cable Guy'... 'Nuff said. I'd like to see him in this film with Jim. :D

Matthew Perry? Well, I don't love him and I don't loathe him either. Seems an OK kinda guy to me and a solid enough actor.
Still rather see Stiller though.

Sorry to those who disagree. :?

lol............yeah they seem solid enough actors, it's just that i don't see that spark.....that certain devilment in the eyes.......the depth and the spirit that i think Jim has.......
he's not the only actor with these attributes.......it's just that at the moment i think he's the most under-rated actor and i'd like to see him get full credit.......

True, neither Stiller or Perry blow you away do they?

So, the sixty four thousand dollar question:
Who do we want to see in that part??? :-k

I'm gonna have to think on that one.

Im happy that Ben Stiller is playin the role with Jim I think hes a good actor and also willing to take risks which I this is a good thing. I'm a bit concerned thou as I didnt really like Something about Mary, I try to be objective cos, I think, if Jim had played that part I prpbably would have loved it....I do worry that I'm incapable of being objective with Jims films now.......sorry I'm rambling now. O yes If Ben was out Will Ferrall would get my vote.
