Postby me » Wed Jan 29, 2003 7:19 am

Yes, dear Clair, you are a psycho - but a funny, sensitive one Sorry about your failure or maybe it wasn't a failure because you didn't give up - it just didn't work. By the way, the head you lost that rolled under the table a few months ago - is it screwed on OK these days ?! Just kidding ! Nice to hear from you .

Me

My head is doing semi-good. I tried the screw thing, but that caused me to all of a sudden start looking so horribly pale, started making HRRRNGGGGG HRRRRGNNNNN noises too. Vines started to pop up on my forehead, not a pretty sight let me tell you. Plus people start gazing. So I decided, what the heck, let's just stitch it...Works pretty fine but there is this one stiching that keeps coming loose though dammit! First I thought it was part of my sweater, you know, Hey! A loose string Ow joy! let's pull!!!! Oeh! What would that stringie do!!!?? Can't resist pulling a loose string, right? but when I pulled it..BAM! Constant view at my shoes!!!!

And THEN try crossing the street...gaaaaaah.

cableclair

www.soiledmypants.com<-- my site

Failure isn't failure unless you give up...

stringies

Postby me » Fri Jan 31, 2003 7:37 am

Yah, I stopped pulling stringies long time ago .... I learned my lesson - of course it is tricky if you think it is a sweater string and it turns out to be a neck/head stringie. Ah, what to do ? Life goes on - or does it ?Would you say you "lose your head" or mind a bit staying awake for so many hours at a time ?(I am recalling Caput Algol in your chart - it has to do with losing your head or mind in some way). I really hate being that tired - it occurs a lot with me lately but not on purpose. I mean I do not stay up late by choice.

Me

I have a staying-up EXTREMELY late addiction...

Some people eat tons of food, others throw it up, others do drugs alcohol whatever...

Lack of sleep is my drug, I'm afraid.

I like the feeling when I fall in bed and am physically incapable of thinking due to extreme tireness.

:P. Me Freud

Postby me » Sat Feb 01, 2003 5:31 am

Well now, hmmm ..... Do you REQUIRE being that exhausted in order to slow down your mind enough to sleep ? It is the nature of the mind to keep thinking and thinking (did you know our Jim does something like that and he thinks it is a problem - there is a way around it)- some people do it more intensely than others - but maybe you can relax about it if you know that it is the nature of the mind to create all sorts of dilemas to think about it (it is sort of a survival mechanism) - BUT knowing that, you can go about your business and say to the mind, "I am doing my thing, if you have to obsess about this or that - you go ahead , but just leave me alone" and guess what happens ? By and by, slowly , slowly the mind will stop bothering you so much. It feeds on you getting aggravated with it. Maybe this is not relevant so you - I am projecting a bit here... based on your tendency to get very philosophical/analytical in your writings you share on your website. I tend to do it too - I have learned not to take it too seriously - hee, hee and it has stopped bothering me and can sleep more easily. It is not that you can directly fight with the mind to stop - that is not a good idea because the mind is the most delicate mechanism and if you try to force it to stop thinking (as opposed to ignoring it) you apparently can damage it. I learned this stuff from a very amazing old man. Is any of relevant ? Maybe you simply just like the feeling of falling into bed so tired you cannot think !! And I have played Freud for no reason at all. Me

..also about Jims visualisation theories ;).

Postby cableclair » Sat Feb 01, 2003 5:33 pm

Sadly I require it yea. And somehow I get most active at night, creative-wise. Once I get enthousiastic or annoyed about something it shows up righttt when I should already be sleeping for a couple of hours Poof! Then I get an idea and I keep puzzling with it..
lol. usually it's should haves or could haves whispering me awake. It used to be way worse though...I actually go to bed for more than half an hour a night nowadays lol.
I still go to bed laaaaate (once you're in that habit there's no way back ) but I've found something that eventually gets me to sleep AND helps me realise all my dreams and plans.

Visualisation. Guys, at least to ME...what Jim does REALLY works. REALLY REALLY works. The key? You REALLY have to believe in it. Totally. I've been suprised and amazed that it does work. That's called faith I guess and I can't help but stick to it.
Visualising your dreams and wishes as if they already came true in as much detail as possible, and when it's supposed to happen it will, on an unexpected moment. All of a sudden. Or at least point you into the direction. I read a book about it called "visualise your dreams" (selfhelp book muahahahah) and I noticed heyyyy this is exactly the stuff Jim talked about.
Anyway, I do that at night now and after a while I fall asleep really peacefully with nice dreams .
And on the back of that book as a recommendation? "The Path Of The Warrior" LOL. I thought that was funny.

Me what was your email addy again? mail it to me cableclair@hotmail.com

P.S. thanks for visiting my site btw...didn't know you go there... too much philosophical/analytical crap there? (not to mention in this post hahah hope I didn't bore the crap out of you guys LOL)

cableclair

www.soiledmypants.com<-- my site

Failure isn't failure unless you give up...
