Discuss other upcoming Jim Carrey movies (not confirmed/rumours).

Hi people! Well, there's a rumor that started today that Jim may be in the movie "The Amazing Spider Man 2". It's not confirmed but according to this article the changes are a bit higher than they initially thought. http://www.comicbookmovie.com/fansites/notyetamovie/news/?a=85223There's no certainty if Jim will be in this sequel or what character he will play... Although fans are starting to trow a few idea on Jim character Jim would be suited for. What do you guys think? Personally, I'm sick and tired of the whole Spider Man franchising. I wanna see something different but if the rumor is true and Jim does a character we haven't seen yet, I think it will be pretty cool.

Some are saying he might play as Cletus Kasady (Carnage), Quentin Beck (Mysterio), or J. Jonah Jameson.

I hope he's not playing Jonah Jameson, cause ... Let's be honest, J.K. Simmons nailed that and is not replacable. He's been rumored for Carnage before when Raimi made SpiderMan 3. Would they introduce that character in Amazing SpiderMan 2? While they have two big villains already? Doubt it. Although, it's possible we just see him in a short cameo and he will be the big one in Amazing SpiderMan 3. Above all, I would like to see him as Norman Osborn and (ofcours) later ... The Goblin. He would be fantastic with make-up, that role is made for Carrey. I still hate the suit they used in the first one, by Raimi. IF he just wasn't around to visit someone on set, Paul for excample. And (again, IF) he's not OK with Kick-Ass but would be OK with Spider-Man? Hmmm.

This is all very confusing... ^^ The movie hasn't premiere yet but it's already in post-production phase. In IMDB he's not mention...(although that's no guarantee, either way). I guess we'll have to wait and see...

Ok I have never watched any of the Spiderman movies but arent they just as violent as Kick Ass? After choosing not to promote violence he is gonna do another violent movie? I think this nothing more then a rumor

This was dated back in March when he visited the set, apparently. Way before he said anything about being against violence in movies. And no, Spider-Man is not as violent as Kick-Ass.

I agree. For some reason this rumor doesn't convince me. My intuition is kicking in...

One of my children the other day said that the person he played (the majician) was a pretty mean character.
When I saw the movie I thought that too I did mention that he can't always play the good guy and that he does have to do the other side sometimes.
Personally I think the general public would rather see and feel light hearted laughter than the evil-side of things We all know it's there and with all the evil /bad stuff going on today, sometimes ya just need a good laugh.
I'm glad he's doing Dumb & Dumber to(or whatever the film's name is)

It could be great to see him in another movie. I would like to see him in "The Amazing Spider-Man 2", but it seems like it is just a rumor.
The photo is not proof for anything. It is taken by the fan outside the building of Late Show with David Letterman. He was guest the same day.

There is both positive and negative point in doing this role (According to me). Negative is "I am not very keen to see Jim in a negative (villain) role". Positive is " all of us can watch the movie in Theatre as this one would get a worldwide release not like BurtWonderstone or Kick Ass" (Still i doubt whether Kick ass2 will be released in my country).
AAlright! TAKE CARE NOW, BYE BYE THEN!
