ok so if jims count olaf he's said before he doesnt like doing the same thing twice, the only reason he did ace 2 was it was in his contract and he said on johnathon ross he likes to do new things plus with all the new movies in the pipeline kinda makes me wonder why he picked this role..

My turn to think!

Heh, I think you just answered your own question but I also know what you're saying (I hope).

We all know that Jim vowed not to do any sequels of his movies (i.e. "Dumb and Dumberer", "Son Of The Mask" and **shudders** the "Ace Ventura" sequel/prequel/garbage) because he doesn't wanna play the same characters twice. We also know that Jim's gonna be playing Count Olaf. But just like the Harry Potter book-movie franchise, there will be more than one Lemony Snicket movie. And Count Olaf is present in other books too so... in a way, he's kinda bending his "no sequels" rule.

Confused, I am now.
*T.a.K.e K.a.R.e N.o.W -|- B.u.H ~ B.y.e T.H.e.N*

Yeah, I see what you mean. It's not a sequel as such. It's one big story that can't be made in just one film. The story continues in following films. It's not like a usual sequel. Still I'm curious how Jim decided for himself. Or what the contract says.
"Whatever makes you feel good when you sit down and do it,
is what you should be chasing in your life." - Jim Carrey

If they really are going to put several stories in one movie, baby, it sure looks bad! Even the second Harry Potter was to much for one movie...

3 books in 1 movie?

Postby KraftMoose » Sat Feb 21, 2004 9:12 pm

Well, the Lemony Snicket books are sort of short, so I could understand having the first three as one movie. Plus, if the same guy is writing the script, he should be able to work it out pretty well. Count Olaf also has a different disguise in each book, so it should be fun to see Jim in those funky costumes.
