2010 MTV Movie Awards!!!

Postby indy-jones » Tue Mar 30, 2010 8:44 pm

Hey guys,

Just a quick but very important reminder, MTV.com has just posted eligible nominees for the 2010 MTV Movie Awards. If you sign up for free on their website, you can vote for whoever and whatever movie you want nominated for the upcoming June 2010 awards.

That means here at JimCarreyOnline, we have the power to nominate both Jim and A Christmas Carol for whatever category we want. I know he has the most MTV awards right now, but it doesn't hurt to give him another if we can do it.

Here's what I suggested for four of the categories:

Best WTF Moment:
Gary Oldman - Marley's Ghost talking with a loose jaw!

Best Comedic Performance:
Jim Carrey

Best Male Performance:
Jim Carrey

Global Superstar:
Jim Carrey (or Johnny Depp)

If we can beat Twilight fans at their own game, I say YES WE CAN!!!

I'd rather like to see "I Love You, Phillip Morris" in the "Best Kiss" or "Best Comedic Performance" category. Jim & Ewan in "Best Kiss" would be great ...

I voted, but also for "Morris".

I agree grinchy steve, but however Morris is not yet released here in the US yet.

But I know that next year if it's still recognized, we can still nominate it if we can!

Ah crap! Oh well, we tried! But even we knew somehow those Twilight fans can take the Movie Awards hostage without mercy!

But here are my final picks for those interested!

Best Kiss:
Sam Worthington and Zoe Saldana (Avatar)

Best Fight:
Sam Worthington vs. Stephen Lang (Avatar)

Best Villain:
Christoph Waltz (Inglourious Basterds)

Best WTF Moment:
Megan Fox (Jennifer's Body)

Biggest Badass Star:
Sam Worthington (Avatar/Clash of the Titans)

Best Scared As S**t Performance:
Katie Featherston (Paranormal Activity)

Best Breakout Star:
Chris Pine (Star Trek)

Best Female Performance:
Zoe Saldana (Avatar)

Best Male Performance:
Channing Tatum (Dear John)
(Had to pick something least popular out of the cumbersome five!)

Best Comedic Performance:
Ben Stiller (Night at the Museum: Battle of the Smithsonian)

Global Superstar:
Johnny Depp (Public Enemies/Alice in Wonderland)

Best Movie:
Avatar

Ok..I'm a fan of the twilight books, that's it. The actors for that movie need to get a life for example Kristen. She can't act, she's fake and I just can't stand her.

Robert is cute though......

I just wish there were better outcomes to the MTV Movie Awards. They were so much better back in the late 90's.....and Jim was there every year :D

True..but still all the awards went to Twilight. I mean don't get me wrong it a good book but it has been blown WAY out of proportion..I mean the actors are great and everything but it's just become a tween fantasy..

I mean yeah Jim would be a #1 fantasy of mine and I know I'm not the only one, but the "fandamonium" for Twilight is just too much...

my daughter.
It is extremely popular!
Admitedly, I did enjoy seeing them and the excitement that goes with
it.
They have big promotional events when these come out up here in
Canada.
The last thing my daughter said was..
"Awww, they didn't show the...."
I have to let you know later, I don't want to spoil it for anyone
who hasn't gone yet.
