Jim Carrey Online

Which Jim movie caught you in his net?

Discuss older Jim Carrey movies.

The Majestic made me beleive he could be great in drama....

I especially liked the court scene.

But it was just before Bruce Almighty that I thought,
Hey, he just might be a nice guy.
Maybe....

I liked him all the time - but I truly discovered him from a new point of view when I saw Truman Show.
And then I started "re"watch all his movies - admiring him...)

I´ve also always liked about Jim, but I think that Liar Liar was the THING.
I could also say that as a comedian - Liar Liar
As an actor- The Truman Show.
Then I realized that he is a amazing ACTOR, not just a comedian.
Riddle me this...Riddle me that! Who's afraid of the big black bat?

That was a great scene. I think The Majestic is kinda underrated. I mean sure it may have seemed a little melodramatic in some parts, but it was good. It probably was just bad timing for it to come out.

Ace Ventura, but it wasn't until Liar Liar that I realised I found him extremely dashing and attractive too!

It was the mask for me, then Ace Ventura. Of course much later on it was the grinch, which I don't care what the critics said that movie did NOT suck, it was marvelous. The makeup was astounding, Rick Baker is a genius when it comes to creature makeup.

Jim is certainly NOT a talentless hack, he is like a comic GOD. Much like how Bruce Campbell is a B-Movie god.

Mine is a very long story.

The first movie I ever saw from him was "The Mask". I was 9 years old.
I loved it and from that day I always liked him and his work, although the one thing I knew was his name and his most known movies.
Then in August of 2010, everything changed.
It's a very long story and I don't want to bother you all...lol... but I became his fan cause I wasn't feeling very good and decided to watch a movie. I realize that watching one I haven't seen in years was a good ideia and the first one that I remembered was "The Truman Show".
The irony is that I need to laugh and then I had the most stupid epiphany ever cause I remembered that he played many comedy roles. So I watch all of his comedies and since I was half way through when I finished (I was only missing the drama/serious movies) I decided: "Screw it! I'm gonna watch all!"

I haven't stopped watching... ^^
And now I'm forever doomed to be his proud fan. :D
I'm a guardian of the spark...
I'm a God damn and proud good fan... and I love it! = )>
