Postby cotton » Thu May 14, 2009 8:27 pm

"While Cage’s Saturn Films’ ‘Voodoo Child’, written by John Collee, is under development, Carrey’s JC 23 Entertainment will roll out ‘O’Gunn’ with writers Ed Cannistraci and Fred Seton"

anybody know anything about that?

Maybe this IS the 'Pierre, Pierre' project with a new name? Don't know what to think, there's so little information.

Choose your friends by their character and your socks by their color, choosing your socks by their character makes no sense, and choosing your friends by their color is unthinkable!

Nope, that's wrong. That part of the text is not about "O'gunn", it's about the Dan Eldon project through the company of Julia Roberts. O'gunn seems to be a comedy.

lol..........but folk shouldn't get excited until it's officially confirmed......Jim's always optioning screenplays which never get made......it's the nature of the business........you option a story to prevent other folk getting their mitts on it, then you decide whether to go for it or cut it loose.......... :D

finally some information............

Spec script sale: "O'Gunn"
As part of its PR at Cannes, Reliance Entertainment announced the purchase of the comedy spec script "O'Gunn" from writers Ed Cannistraci and Fred Seton:

Jim Carrey is attached to star, and his company will produce. Carrey will play a psychopathic Scottish cop who follows his nemesis to America to attempt to prevent a disastrous crime.

Script sold for $750K against 1.5M. Writers are repped by Dan Aloni and Greg McKnight (CAA), managed by Category 5 Entertainment, and their attorney is Jeff Frankel.

Duo sold the spec script "Pierre Pierre" in March 2008 for $1M, also with Jim Carrey attached.

????? WTF??? Jim playing a Scotsman??? .........well Jim you'd better get your box sets of Taggart and Rebus then........you're gonna need all the help you can get!......
