ESOTSM: How did it make you feel?

Postby Little Miss Carrey » Sun Jun 20, 2004 6:20 pm

When I went to see ESOTSM ,all I wanted to do all the way through the flick was to dive into the screen and hug Joel until he was no more! Image Well I hope it wasn't just me so how did the rest of you guys feel when you saw it! (If you have! If not, trust me it'll be worth the wait!)

Lots of Love:

Oh I was exactly the same way! Jim was just so huggable in this movie! Also it really moved me in so many different ways. It's one of the most touching movies I've seen in a long time. Parts were so heartbreaking, while other parts were uplifting. I can't understand how some people can come out of seeing this movie feeling nothing... I just can't see how it's possible.

I know what you're saying.

I've been to this movie more times than i care to repeat, but every time is like the first. I'm left with all of these thoughts when the movie is over.

This movie takes you through every emotion. It is a draining experience...after it's over I always feel like something inside me has been changed...almost like I'm a better person for having watched this film.

such a great movie

I remember what was going through my mind when I found myself sitting there in the theater before the movie started. I was so happy to be there because I anticipated that movie for the longest time! I was so touched when it was over because I could relate to so both Jim and Kates characters. So this movie really hit home and will go down as my favorite one of all time.

*giggles* That's actually my site! :) Well one of my sites. I've also got an ESOTSM layout (again! It's my second at this site) on my personal site too... http://virtual-obsession.com/ :)

Yes, I really can't get enough of this movie! I can't wait to get the DVD home so I can screencap it. :) And thankies Clair! I love making layouts with Jim... actually I need to redo my fanlisting collective site with one of the pics of Jim from the Blink magazine.

The beauty I found with this movie is that it shows you have to take bad times with good times and that bad times are wonderful. Without bad moments in your life there wouldn't be any good moments. To feel so miserable would mean that you would have had to feel so wonderfu at some point in the past. So in a sense, you have to take the bad with the good.

If I had seen him I would be able to give my opinion.... but I didn't see it :( .... reason: I live in friggin' Belgium!!! We don't get much Jim-movies here in the cinema (they rather show big-money-junk-movies :x )

The same happened when I wanted to go to see "the majestic". They didn't play it in the Cinema because Spiderman was playing in two "rooms"!!! I mean com on!! "Spiderman" is trash compared to "the majestic"!!! Luckily I saw it in a small movie theatre (who plays "alternative" movies) But that small theatre doensn't play ESOTSM :(

I know what you mean.... I had to drive almost an hour to see it, too. The really big theaters near me didn't play it, either. I emailed them and they said there weren't enough copies of the film so not every theater got one. Lame. :|
