cap vs Carrey?

Postby Pressamarita » Thu Jun 06, 2002 8:26 pm

I thought about it more and its probably a ploy to deflate the project in price or probability for Jim, or to
get someone else out of it. No big deal, I have to stop
because I will offend someone if I write my opinion.

even still, would hughes movies be big box office?

well, I hope Italians aren't mad at me if I am a trader on this poll, with a name like Di' Caprio. But Is he all Italian? even still, it wouldn't be the first time. even though leo has one
biggy bigger than everyone in $$$$$$, doesn't matter.Stop it right now Leo, you will have to find
something else.Or both of you, darnit. Gee, Jim, if you guys did it what a cool way to get out of iiiiit

leo are you expecting titantic figures?

Hollywood always seem to develop movie ideas in pairs.

There was the killer volcano films("Volcano" and "Dante's Peak"), the killer asteroid films ("Armageddon" and "Deep Impact"), ...

Heck, even Truman was released only a few months before "Ed TV" (and look how well that did!!)

Edited by: CinnamonGirl at: 6/12/02 6:13:35 pm

Jim vs leo?

Postby Pressamar » Thu Jun 13, 2002 1:17 am
I like Jim in the the super original work. Never been done before. what ever it takes. I loved him as Kaufman,
but think playing the life of howard hughes could
be for tv or at least in my head that is what I am envisioning. i don't know if I like it. WELL ITS BIOS IN GENERAL.I'D LIKE TO SEE HIM IN AN ADVENTURE EPIC
FAIRY TALE TYPE MOVIE.

An update from Comingsoon.net -- they list January as the start date for filming ...

"According to syndicated columnists Marilyn Beck and Stacy Jenel Smith, the race to film biographies of Howard Hughes is heating up, with Jim Carrey pulling ahead of Leonardo DiCaprio.

They report that as things now stand, Carrey's film, to be directed by with Christopher Nolan (Memento), is on track to roll in January. The DiCaprio/Martin Scorsese feature has no start date and its financing is apparently still not in place.

Instead, DiCaprio may be more interested in the Alexander the Great biopic he and Scorsese dropped in favor of Hughes at the beginning of the year. They wouldn't have to compete with HBO's $120 million, 10-hour "Alexander the Great," which has been put on hold. Also, they won't be competing with Oliver Stone who had tagged Heath Ledger to play the Great Alexander. Ledger passed on the project and Stone is still looking for financing, and a star."

i wish I could read the adapdation from Jim's movie.

I am going to start reading on Hughes. right off the

topof my head without knowing, I see two completelty

different interpretations and no -compete. but if Di

caprio feels slighted in the movie ring he could compare

things about Jim to try to pull him down or lift himself up.

dear mr Scorcese:

I wish you could do a movie with Jim someday.
I think a totally different idea for Leo and Martin
would be great and diplomatic. can there be? or does it
have to be a fight? I think they if they keep digging on the creativity
maybe leo will come up with something even better
for himself by not doing a similiar movie. i don't think it affects Jim i do think it affects Di caprio and Scorcese though. Mr scorcese is awesome.
