America defines Jim Carrey? What U Say?

Postby DJXtreme » Fri Oct 15, 2004 2:22 pm

Jim Carrey is quoted as saying that he believes America is the country that helped define him and make his dreams come true.

He became a US citizen and now Americans can lay claim to him, as he has made it clear (in a statement) that his heart was American to begin with.

But I can't figure out why he's building a mansion up here in Ontario 10 minutes from my business...

I wonder if it will be called the Carry Mansion?
I think he's 50/50
Half and Half.
Which half is what, I don't know.
Any ideas?

well i guess Jim gives more importance to his american citizenship coz he got all the name & fame here. his dreams to make it big in hollywood came true here.
& yet he still like canada coz he was born there & spent his childhood there whether in poverty or whatever. he cant forget his past about what he was...also,his bro. & sisters also live here.

I think he is more Canadian because he is not the typical American actor, I think. But for directors, actors etc. is Hollywood something special and when you make something real there, effort is garanted. So he is in my opinion definitely mor Canadian but with American influence.

Jim is Canadian and American

Postby asiebarth » Thu Oct 21, 2004 3:15 am

I think likewise that Jim is 50/50 Canadian and American. He feels patriotic and loyal to both countries! I am convinced of this based on watching him at recent events like the Canadian Walk of Fame ceremony and other interviews he's done.

Hey DJextreme how do you know that it is Jim who is building a mansion in Ontario? That's news to me.

Jim Carrey = Canada

Postby Count Olaf » Sat Oct 23, 2004 4:06 pm

Jim Carrey is and will always be Canadian to the core. Canada produced him and here is where his life took shape molding him into the man he was going to be for the rest of his life. Jim his the most distinct personna on stage his uniqueness is distinctly Canadian. No other actor has the same type of humour as Jim, therfore he is different than the rest, therefore HE IS CANADIAN!
