Camp and Camping

Postby Canadian Jayne » Wed Jul 13, 2022 3:32 am

I’m camping this week
I love the smell of firewood
And cooking and fresh outdoor air
Under the trees and stars
U hear people talking or laughing
Fires crackling
Children running or riding and
Playing
Camping means freedom
To me
Tomorrow is Tim Horton Camp Day
For some tomorrow is today
July 13
And proceeds go to help
Kids go to camp

It’s nice to see
Many Timi’s Donut shops
Decorated
Balloon arches and
A feeling of
Joy
We should say
“Happy Camp Day”!
They have a new donut
Peanut butter choclt
Cream cheese Specialty donut
I tried one today
It was
Camp day Greeeeeeeaaaat!

The more I camp and bike ride to beach
The more I see the drought
Compared to last year
Corn is a week or more behind
In growing season
Lawns are brown
But
People are out
Enjoying beach and
Fresh air
Lots and lots
of sun showers

Camping
And
Tornado warnings
Not a good combination
But
I do love listening
To the rain
Makes
Ya feel
Sleepy

Good thing
This morning
Was a good time
To go
Kayaking
Water was shallower
Than usual but I’m sure
Today’s torrential rains will
Help the grass out;)

I think the skunks
Are getting tired of
The rain
The smell is infiltrating
The area

And
I’m singing
“They only come out at night”
Pertaining to
The
Raccoons and other wildlife
During hurricane like weather
They headed for cover in
The dumpster
I got a really good video and pic of them there
At abt 630 am
At night I even tried to scare them
With a recording of a dog
“Didn’t work” maybe
It just wasn’t loud enuf

Threats were more North
Tried out the dingy
Worked well
Maybe next year I’ll
Adventure more
Boating season almost over here
Later this week a few more nice days
But otherwise
Winter will be on its way soon
