I love Creedence Clearwater Rival. Looking out my back door is one of my favorites by them. Altho I wonder what they were smoking when they wrote it.lol
Here are the words if anybody want to sing along
Looking Out My back Door
Just got home from Illinois, lock the front door, oh boy!
Got to sit down, take a rest on the porch.
Imagination sets in, pretty soon I'm singing,
CHORUS:
Doo, doo, doo, Looking out my back door.
There's a giant doing cartwheels,
A statue wearing high heels.
Look at all the happy creatures dancing on the lawn.
A dinosaur Victrola listening to Buck Owens.
CHORUS
Tambourines and elephants are playing in the band.
Won't you take a ride on the flying spoon?
Doo, doo doo.
Wond'rous apparition provided by magician.
CHORUS
Tambourines and elephants are playing in the band.
Won't you take a ride on the flying spoon?
Doo, doo doo.
Bother me tomorrow, today, I'll buy no sorrows.
CHORUS
Forward troubles Illinois, lock the front door, oh boy!
Look at all the happy creatures dancing on the lawn.
Bother me tomorrow, today, I'll buy no sorrows.
CHORUS

I love everything about that song too,
upbeat, fun, excellent guitar sound,
mmmm just real good
I don't remember Fogarty ever sharing
how the song was made or created
Maybe he wrote it after watching a parade
I wonder!
Anyone ever interview him on it
Hey Jay, when was the last time you interviewed
Fogarty?
I wonder

You know It's pretty amazing the songs
Fogarty has done, they are all really good songs
The average Joe can sing them
and it's like an old irish get together
That's what it seems like as I watch some of
his concerts on utube,
I don't even know if he's Irish Descent but
if he isn't
he should be.
