The other day
I was so excited about the new falling snow.
As a child the first really good snowfall was one
Where you could pack it into snowballs or make
Snow forts or snowmen.
Then I’d recruit my sibling or friends to help when
our mission project was set
Whether to make snow fortresses, snowmen,
Snow fights or competition
I was talking to a your lad and commented
“I’m so excited about this snowfall today”
He excitedly said “I’m going home and playing
A game on the computer” I replied sadly“But what
About the Snowman”. “Awww, I don’t do
that kinda stuff”. My heart sank.

Oopsey meant to say
“A young lad/boy”

I was sad because he may
Never enjoy the fun and friendship
And fresh air
Snow can bring all of us

The computer has its purpose
But for me
COVID has had enuf shut in victims
I’d rather be out
When I can
Instead of Gaming on and on and on
And after years saying
“Hey, what happened, what did I really do?”
Granted I will admit
Gaming does help with dexterity cause U
May not have it once arthritis sets in
But
I still love the first snow and what
Wonderful imaginings can be brought
Out in the new Snowscape
