That's great that "True Crimes" will get a premiere date. I can't wait to see the first trailer of it.

Terry Marvin (Dallas, Texas)

The film's IMDb rating is 6.6 based on 16 votes and I've found this right now :)

I was just about to post the link. :)

Unfortunately, the review is not very positive, votes on rating sites aren't either. What I was very afraid of, is already happening. The recent events will hang over this like a dark shadow. That was predictable. A shame. It will effect at least 50% of the coming reviews from now on. Sad, sad, sad. It was whispered Carrey was indeed supposed to show up, but the premiere was without it and in a minor sphere.

Other events -as we all remember- influenced many opinions about Jim when Kick-Ass 2 and Burt Wonderstone came out. I'm afraid it will be the case even more so now. A shame all of this is happening, while career-wise interesting things are happening with his recent choices.

That review is a joke. What kind of supposed film critic can't differentiate between an actor and his past roles. The comment about waiting for Jim to break into a joke... wtf? Newsflash, dumbarse..he's an actor. If you only see him as a comedian, that's your problem, not his. He's already proven that he is a superb dramatic actor several times.

And call me naive, but this tabloid nonsense... what in the name of fuck does that have to do with anything? Are you telling me that supposed educated film critics are factoring that mindless and irrelevant crap into their opinion of his work? *gets ready to smash stuff*

What I CAN tell you, is anyone who *is* influenced by this does not possess an opnion worth considering anyway..

I'm so glad you just talked about the review because I'm about to write the article about it. I read and I also felt it wasn't positive. Shame. I'm not sure what has happen as influenced that much because for what it says about the story maybe the story is a bit dull... I don't know.
I guess we'll have to wait for more.

On a side note: I wish I could get from crititcs a straight forward opinion: it's good, didn't thrill me, it sucks!
Makes it easier to read them and to write about them lol :D

I agree with you. That's why I don't read critics and that's why I find them useless.
Everybody is a critic. But if you have that tittle in a professional way, who should at least be a damn professional and a professional doesn't confused label and past with reality and present. Period.

I understand prefering his comedy side but he's an actor. An actor is capable of doing a lot of things that's the job.

As a person whose native language is not English, i'm sharing your feelings. :D
I read one more review on Hollywood reporter and it wasn't very positive either.

What I meant with 'influenced', is the fact the case will be mentioned lots of times. Like that first review shows already. There was no point in referring to it, yet the writer did. The very fact he thought about Jim doing this movie was making it more 'akwardly perverse' because of recent events, says it all.

That said, I do read some critics. ;) I do not agree everyone is a critic when it comes to saying something interesting about movies. :P But yeah, I do get what was meant by it. I agree on that level.

It says he's a dickhead.

Honestly, buddy, don't worry about it. These people are not critics.

He mention because he's a bad professional. The other review I read doesn't.
When I say "everyone is a critic" is an expression.
Everyone can give an opinion and most of the times they voice it to critisize.
That's why I said that.

I notice that movies that are different
from what Jim usually plays
success starts off slow
picks up and gets better
as it ages most
people like the
comedic did but like anything
being stuck in one type
does not stretch
You like different types
The movie may need some
tweeting but all in all
I think it will work out
different can b good
