Hard to say. I believe Big Hero 6 will still be the number one. Dumb & Dumber To could earn the second place, just above Interstellar with almost the same numbers. I'm being positive ... My guess is $ 31 M, opening weekend. $ 120 M at the end of the ride. The international box office will do better for sure.

Fantastic news. Dumb and Dumber To is doing huge business at the Friday box office!! Going for the number 1 spot this weekend if it continues the rest of the weekend.

Some box office websites have adjusted it to around $40 million in their predictions! :D

Good news indeed. The best opening (without inflation) for The Farrelly Brothers so far. Bring on Ace Ventura 3. :P

36 million in the US
13 million overseas

Overseas it already started pretty well in Spain and #2 in Germany as well as in Sweden and Poland, Austria, Colombia ... #1 in Brazil and Iceland and Norway and Croatia and the UAE... in fact most markets it opened number 1 or 2. that should translate into around 40 million for those markets alone... and then there's most other major markets ahead of them.

The movie has grossed good during the week. Interesting how the second weekend will go. BoxOfficeGuru predict it to gross $16 million a big drop of 55% which will give it a total for $60 million.

I hope not it will get big drops like that weekend after weekend then it can be harder to cross the $100 million mark. I hope it will be the movie for Jim to get that again. If it still has many screens at christmas it will give it a little boost again so it can happen. :)

BoxOfficeMojo (big fan of the site), has the numbers and more predictions:

After opening in first place last weekend, Dumb and Dumber To fell victim to some poor word-of-mouth in its second outing. The comedy sequel plummeted 62 percent to an estimated $13.8 million, which brings its 10-day total to $57.5 million. With Horrible Bosses 2 on the horizon, it's very unlikely that Dumber To comes close to $100 million.

Hunger Games 3 opened in first place, Big Hero 6 and Interstellar stood strong. Dumb and Dumber 2 dropped huge ... I guess the Madagascar spin-off, Horrible Bosses 2 and bigger movies coming in a week or two / three (Exodus, Night at the Museum 3, Hobbit 3) it will be hard to get the 100 M indeed.

On the other hand, D&D2 is doing not bad at the international boxoffice. It's a bit mixed, in some countries where Carrey normaly scores big time it's not doing as good as hoped for, in others it does. So far it opened in 25 areas and yet has to open in 24 areas. The foreign is only 13 M at this point, but that can change a lot in the coming weeks.
