(Re: Eternal S.) We Aussies are getting screwed by Roadshow

Originally the Eternal Sunshine DVD release date out here was meant to be August '04. That changed to September, October and finally December... at least for the rental version. The retail version was pushed back even further, to January '05, and then February '05. Within the last few weeks, however, the DVD vanished from many retail sites based in Australia -- completely off the "Coming Soon" radar -- and I wondered why. So I emailed Village Roadshow, the distributors.
Turns out the retail date has been pushed back AGAIN, to April '05. I take that with a bucketful of salt, since they've already changed the date on us more times than Michael Jackson has changed his face.
I have no idea why we're being treated like this, nor do I know who's making the decisions, but it's really grating my cheese. If you're curious for info, you could email Roadshow yourself: Customer_Service@roadshow.com.au Preferably in droves.
But DO IT POLITELY. The guy who replies to the emails is not the guy who makes the decisions. This is not his fault, and he won't want to receive 200 abusive emails over something he doesn't control. Just ask what's up, try to find out why it keeps getting pushed back, and how definite THIS date is. Let 'em know we're a little unhappy. But again... be polite.
