Question - The Majestic

Postby 1istener » Sun Jun 30, 2002 4:13 am

I was just wondering, in The Majestic, they show a photo of the real Luke, and he has the same eyes as Jim Carrey, but a different jaw (at least as far as I could tell at first glance). Who is the photo of? Is it Jim Carrey? Someone else? GC? Thanks a lot in advance. =)

<a href="mailto:listener<listener@ript.net>">listener@ript.net

I just finished watching The Majestic DVD...I really enjoyed this movie...it swept me of my feat completely...Jim Carrey playes the part so well...
So I read your question...the photo that was shown (of the real Luke) was the photo of Jim Carrey but I think they just digitally changed it a bit to make him look jounger (not that they had to if you ask me) and a little different.
I hope I helped you a least a little with my answer,

Mojca

"Look! Are you sure it's him? I'm not. If you mean that photo of him in High School. I think it's another guy. He doesn't have Jim's eyes.
Nadine

Well I took another look at those two pictures and from my point of view it's Jim Carrey. I mean they did make him look younger and the photo's are in B&W but I'm sure it's him. It is a little vexing with the shadow cast on half of his face in the High School picture and with the hat on on the other one but I'd say it's Jim Carrey.

Mojca

I didn't say that he must look younger...I merely commented on the question above regarding wether it is Jim Carrey on the photo or not. I say it is him on the photo and I also said that that the movie makers maby changed the look of him to make him look younger (the High School photo) but I never said they really needed to do that.
For me Jim Carrey is everything an actor, artist should represent and will be forever more. I mean it today and every single day to come. For me he's the greatest in this bussiness in the whole wide universe.

Mojca

I still say it's not him! And why should they make him younger digitally? In many movies they just took real photos of him where he's younger...
However, I don't believe it's him... not his eyes, not his features...
What do the others think?
Nadine

At first, I thought it was just somebody else who slightly resembles Jim. Since I watched the movie a couple of times, I have no doubt that it's him. I mean, the high school pic convinced me but not the soldier pic.

*TaKe KaRe NoW |

| BuH ~ BYe THeN*

Okay... I guess I'm going to watch it again and have a close look. If you all are so convinced. I didn't even know there are two different photos...
Nadine

Matt Damon

Postby FavaBeans CBM » Sat Apr 05, 2003 3:20 pm

Did you guys know that the voice of the real Luke Trimble (when he reads the letter) is Matt Damon's. So maybe the the solider scene of Luke was actually Matt and not a younger looking Jim.

Just a thought.
**---------------------------------------------------**
Visit my comic book movies website.
