Makes u think doesn't it. But i think Special Edition is a international thing, so all of them are going to say that.

I think they use Collector's Edition they re-release a movie but don't put a lot of new things on it and they call it a Special Edition if it's a extended cut, directors cut or a new cut of a film and have a lot of new Bonus Material. but maybe i'm wrong. 8) :? :?:

Awww... who will want buy my "old" Dumb & Dumber dvd knowing that a SE version is going to come out!? That's kind of frustrating! They should just give you the new version and apologize for not having put those bonus on before. 8)

Maybe a petition could work

i don't know if a petition would work rubberface.....but my advice is to keep ur original copy when u get the SE DVD.....it maybe worth something in a few years....u never know.

btw, the petition was a joke ;) ...but I just can't afford to buy all of the "special edition" versions of the movies I already own... and that is the sad part of the story.

Try selling the old movies at Blockbuster or a buy&sell type place in your area..you wont get a lot for it probly but the money could go towards the SE of it if you really enjoy the movie that much ,just an idea lol.

Ah yes. I know the DVD's unrated, but don't ya'll think this is worthy of an R rating? The scene with Seabass was pretty damn crude.... Nevertheless it's an awesome DVD.

if the original release had the added content that is in the DVD then ya it would an R rated film.
