I didn't realy like 'The Polar Express' because of the sucky motion captured animation. Simply because the technics aren't good enough yet. The characters looked dull, even a bit scary and they just didn't came to life. They actually moved like they were made out of wood. Also the movie lacked any form of magic...
Not looking forward to this. Not at all. If Jim want's to do something like that, I hope he get's something like Gollum in 'The Lord of the Rings', where every little move in his face will be captured. Or just speaks a voice in a new Pixar-film.
I see you didn´t watch Polar Express in an Imax3D cinema, did you? This experience touched everyones heart on that cinema, also mine.. It was wonderful to see how childs tried by moving to watch Santa, also everyone watching that ticket during one of the scenes, and when a snow flake falls in your right eye, and everybody, including me, tried to clean the glases.. I don´t mention when everybody imagine what is inside THAT box one of the kids recieve, using their own imagination.. I don´t mention that "cascabell" "dinging" all the way...
it´s a good movie, and I think a movie made magically for a 3D watch experience.
