Good news for The Netherlands, I just found out that 'I Love You Phillip Morris' has got a new release date for that country. 15 October 2009 !

There's a good chance that it will be 14 October for Belgium, but that's not confirmed yet. I guess Europe will see this movie months before the USA does.

Boy oh boy! Belgium (where I live) has a release date finally. September 9, not best date to bring out a movie, but I'm glad it's so fast!

I wonder if this means the US date might be moved to an earlier spot?

Bad news for Belgium, the release date has changed. 17 feb 2010 it is. Seems that it has something to do with the fact they don't have anything to promote the movie. I have a feeling some countries will follow.

On the other hand ... I have the feeling it might show up in Ghent (Belgium) for the The Filmfestival of Ghent (big in Europe) in october, a couple of years ago 'Eternal Sunshine' won the money-price on that festival.

And my feeling was right. As you can see on IMDB all the release dates are updated. Now everybody has to wait till 2010.

USA 18 January 2009 (Sundance Film Festival)
Germany 7 February 2009 (European Film Market)
France 19 May 2009 (Cannes Film Festival)
Netherlands February 2010
USA 5 February 2010 (limited)
USA 12 February 2010
Belgium 17 February 2010
Sweden 26 February 2010
Brazil 2 April 2010

I was first waiting to see this flick on March, then now in September and now I have to still wait to February 2010!
This really sucks, does anyone know what is the reason to these changes?

Um I don't understand this. All of the release dates on here and IMDB are saying 2010 for all countries. Yet what's the go with the film being released in some places on september 9, 2009...??? As in this month, who and what is that? Why isn't it being reflected in the release dates?

The release dates have been changes to 2010. It will be released in France and many other countries closer to the US date and Valentines Day.

Guees there have been some editing of the movie after the problems it had to get a US distributor. Now there is time to plan a good promotion strategy.

Oh ok so basically you're saying that we have to wait till early next year until any country gets to see the movie?
