IT sounds to me like a Drama but JCO states it as a comedy (I think). Is it?

If it is a comedy it has to be a black comedy, judging by the images of it I've seen (whether they're official or not I don't know though)

I hate 'genres'. Most films can't be put in one genre or an unlogical combination of two. And I don't like how people have the need to

When 'The Truman Show' came out on video, it was called "Best comedy of the year!". In the moviestore it was on the comedy-shelf. People rent it and then complain they didn't laugh at all. While (imo) 'Truman' is a strong mix of drama and pure satire, but not realy a comedy. Not at all.

Same with 'Man on the Moon'. There Jim Carrey won the Golden Globe for 'Best Actor in Musical or Comedy'. What happened next? They promoted it as a Jim Carrey comedy overhere. Again the wrong people went to see this movie with the wrong expectations. While, if you realy really really want to put a stamp on this film, imo, you should call it a biopic.

Unfortunally, it's the case with many, many movies. Would you label 'About Schmidt' a comedy? Would you say 'Lady in the Water' is a thriller? Would you call 'Good Night, and Good Luck' a drama? Would you call 'The Beach' an action movie? Cause that's how its labeled on the DVD. That sucks.
