That's kinda like all the stuff he's said in interviews, before, right? Good read, though! T4p :)

I especially liked
how he suggested where
Stephens talents could be redirected
for better use.

Regardless of Stephen's scientific genius the man's a bloody miracle.....to all intent purposes he shouldn't still be alive and to still have a sense of humour is the greatest feat of all IMO :)

Absolutely agree,
I emailed him the a while ago day but I
wanted to ask him about how to help youth and kids
today who have a difficult time communicating without
being able to write or read yet communicate through
their play action how they feel.
I know of one child that acts out specific movie scenes
and through the movie scenes he expresses
his communication, I've had to review the
movies several times to understand what the youth was
trying to get across. It's difficult to explain, and I had and
still have a hard time formulating the question that would
help me to better communicate with this youth.
I know Stephen can read and write and uses technology to
say how he feels but how can one communicate when they
don't have the regular skills but other skills that may be
adaptable for communication purposes.
Still thinking on this one.
If you have any ideas on this one let me know.

i find every case is unique..but i use play therapy and art therapy approaches to get the kids to express themselves...
but it's funny you mention movies because i've noticed kids seem to latch on to them, especially the ASD kids.....they tend to focus on science fiction films and are almost OCD about the scenes and characters......so i tend to say 'what would Luke Skywalker do'? and why was Darth wrong to do that.....?......it gets them thinking
music is good too......it can be very emotive for them...... :D

I find the music "I will get stronger" cd (Relief CD made in Canada)
is great for sharing with
the kids, they love it.
