First "Horton Hears A Who" Picture

USA Today has posted the first picture from the upcoming CG animation "Horton Hears A Who". A picture of Steve Carell's role as The mayor of Who-ville. Carrey is doing voice for the elephant Horton. No pictures of Horton yet.

I think it looks fantastic so far. :)
Yea it is fast they are ready with such a good picture, but the animators at Blue Sky Studios have worked on this movie since 2005.

Why does he looks like the Grinch? Isn't a Who like, you know, in that Carrey-Movie?

Again, here we don't know the Dr. Seuss stories.

Wowchies. Yeah making films such as this takes alooong time! But still it looks amazing already. I can't wait. :D

The whos in the Grinch movie were more human looking but the ones in the Grinch book looked like the one in the pic above.

I think he actually looks like the grinch himself in the book version. Only he's not... green :lol:

Hold on...... are you guys saying that they've already started the animation? Don't the actors have to say the words first? Otherwise the mouth moves would be all different :S

sometimes.....depends on how the company wants to work it. i think it is easier for them to have some animation shown on a screen so the actor's can see what is going on to get the dialog right.

Well, I saw all the extra's on films like Shrek, Monsters Inc, and so on and so on.

I guess it will happen like this. The animation is ready, backgrounds, moments without speaking, you know. The part were the characters speak they still have to work out till it's perfect, like the moving of the mouth and all. But everything else it is ready. I guess.
