He's already so creative to begin with, so imagine what he's going to do with Ripley's especially creative aspects! This could be his best role in years.

I saw that, but why? The Three Stooges was also taken off and it was a rumor that he left.

Probably just because it's in script haul-over mode. Once that's completed he'll at last get to filming it as Ripley.

Sometimes new people....

this is a huge challenge!! it can be the best movie one of the best he will and can ever do!!! BUT!!! it has to be damm good frekin script okay!!! and JC has to be in total control of that including the direction mode and production mode, take his time totally
this is a huge project and he should be he one to do it, if not someone else will pick it up, fund it and make a go of it but it wont be good, thats what my chrystall ball says to me.. :)

it can be absolutly fantastic,
look at Hugo, look at Man on the Moon.
has to be exciting, new, amazing, and i beleive it could and will be
possitive energy out for that
take 3 years to make maybe.
this guy did alot of travelling his life was exxciting dispite the kinna boring tone in his voice, but maybe, off screen, he was a hoot and a prankster? idk...or maybe he was just like Jim.. food for thought out t here, in cyberland, Carreyland put on your thinking creative caps on. make magic once again. i know you can!
love love

getting ideas I think that James should do the whole thing himself and hire, some big names in production and directing only to work for him
if he is up to it and he can be up for anything!
he is a Jim of all trades!!! he can do anything if he puts his whole heart soul and mind to do it!!
Jim aka, James Eugene Carrey
stars
directs
produces
scripts
everything to do with that movie
just first get the dibs on the name
change it
and own it!
and rest on it, as long as you want!!!!
thats all you do!!!!
if he needs advise he can pay and ask someone for it, or
he can get the best of the best at the schools in ONtario
as well. FOR FREE! ya never know! just throwing it out into the vast world wide universe! :D

found some stuff about him, he was one of the most traveled people in history, lived a sheltered life, was a gentleman and had many mistresses! bang!!
it will be a great movie! for JC! he can do it and make it amazing and not boring, and give the man justice emphasiszing on his possitive qualities not his weeknesses, what he brought to the world, truths, and more exciting things, good man! dispite all else

im researching a bit about him, while eating some raw nuts, lunch :) curry, raw sprouted...hot..omg
okay, how he got is start, theres a book on him.
heres what someone had to say about him after reading the book..

he built an incredible empire. A must read for anyone that enjoys things out of the ordinary.
Just got finished reading this book. The more I read about Robert Ripley, the more impressed I became. I never realized that he was a philanthropist. He was a self-taught man who managed to make his way up in the world of journalism, traveled the world and managed to convey a lot of what he learned through the media.

Book A Curious Man omg he has to do this!!!

read!!!

Neal THompson author

Veteran journalist and author of forthcoming bio of eccentric world-traveling millionaire/playboy cartoonist Robert 'Believe It or Not' Ripley. Here's what Ben Fountain has to saying about A CURIOUS MAN: "Anyone who wants to understand America needs to read this book…Neal Thompson gives us a vivid portrait of this complex, restless man in all his maniacally conflicted glory."
And Karen Abbott: "Intelligent and gripping…Neal Thompson expertly captures the surprisingly complex character of Robert Ripley, and a life nearly too fantastic to be believed."
