Where's the news? This means that it will take at least longer than a year before we see Jim again after "Morris". :?

^ Yeah. i just don't like when ppl want to attack him for posting on twitter often and not working and speaking his mind. We kno he has some projects lined up but ppl typically don't speak about those things incase it falls through.

Why not let him twitter...

Maybe he has the Twitter Bug,
New things eventually become old
and then there'll be something new to take over
his attention.
Sometimes I come up with some really funny stuff,
I try and writie it down, but really thinking about
what people really want
I went to an Autism seminar the other day and
statistics show that Autism has increase in some places
by 400%, that is a big hike, this should be a concern for
alot of people, grandmas, grandpas, mom's and dad's
what isi it that is affecting these kids? It may not be
from Vaccines, but it is from something.

They have found money to fix the EDysfunction(Viagara)
problem
but not this, seems kinda weird to me.
Where are our priorities??????
But also I wonder if there has been any research on the
affects of having a special needs child on the siblings
eg. ADHD, ODD, Down's, Autism.
Can and does it ever affect the brother or sister of the one
who is getting the most atttention?

any condition has an effect on the whole family but we know there's a strong genetic influence with ADHD , Autism, PDD, etc etc......and younger siblings will often copy behaviour............
The frustrating thing for me is the slow pace of diagnosis........it can take YEARS for Dr's to finally agree on a programme of treatment and in nearly all cases we (teachers/carers etc) were right in the first place.........if they listen to us the kids can access the help faster......ggrrr

My job is not affiliated with the School Board but

another Organization,
if both groups agree there is a need for
better and earlier diagnosis for that child,
why wouldn't it be done?
Yes, as I observe I do see now the
copied behavior, not exactly, but similarity.
How long have you been teaching Fluffy?
That is very insightful.

I remember two children were brought to my
school, I was between the age of 8 - 12 not sure
the exact time but one child may have been
diagnosed with ADHD, I would overhear conversations
as my mom picked up the kids for school (she was a
bus driver) The normal older child seemed to be
doing alright. But years later their mom came back
and spoke to my mom and said help was given to
the ADHD child and was doing very well for himself
but the other child became involved with drugs,
which disheartened the mom.
Yes, it does affect the whole family.

I wish my son could have been tested, perhaps he
would have finished high school, but it wasn't done.

I've been teaching for 14 years now CJ and i've always been involved with teaching the kids with difficulties. I've done a lot of work with dyslexic kids and assorted learning difficulties but my specialist area is that of Emotional and behavioural difficulties. I'm working with more and more ASD, ADHD and ADD kids now and i'm the resident behaviour specialist at one of the areas most challenging schools.
I'm like a teacher, social worker, therapist, and psychologist all put in a pot and mixed up to form a soup.........how thin the soup is depends on the time i'm allocated with each kid........ :D

At a recent seminar on Autism they said that....

the increase is up almost 400% in this area.
I was shocked.
It sounds like you have a big rope to tow.
I admire you.
It takes a really admirable spirit to work in such
a vocation.
My hats off to you.
