He should realy go for that 'Ripley' movie, but with the right men behind the project. The most positive thing about his performance in 'I Love you Philip Morris', seems to be the fact that the character is interesting and Jim is able to use his acting abilities to make it a strong performance while being funny also. Also important, in a film that is good written and made by some real talent. A lot of the reviews keep pointing at 'Truman', 'Eternal Sunshine' and 'Man o/t Moon'. That's what he needs to do more often now.

Don't get me wrong, I love a good Jim Carrey comedy like 'Liar Liar', 'Bruce Almighty' and 'Yes Man' and I'm glad he keeps doing them. But in a way this (mostly) only shows his comedic talent and improvisation-skills. The writing is not realy strong, cause it's only a comedy and the characters are often not more then "Jim Carrey". Again, I love those movies, but I think he should be able to do bigger things most of the time.

So therefore I think 'Ripley' would be perfect. He has an interesting character doing interesting things in an interesting world. Just needs another writer and a bigger talent behind the camera, imo.

I think he should go back into comedy, since alot of people are complaining that he does alot of serious movies. Phillip morris might be considered a drama/comedy

I don't see too many people complaining that he's doing too many serious roles. The people that do complain are the ones who have never gave his dramas a chance.

I prefer a Carrey drama any day over his comedies personally, and I hope he does more of them.

Just don't team up with Schumacher again.

He does to many serious movies? That's not what I'm reading everywhere.

Depends, if you read movie-sites you can see that the critics and readers are asking him to do more serious (good) movies. Because he's such a terrific actor. In fact, most of them say he should stop doing those standard Jim Carrey comedies and on the other hand stay far away from sucky directors as Joel Shumacher.

Don't forget about the possibility of Horton Hatches An Egg, because that's the only movie idea I would like Jim to be in!

P.S. I wouldn't say Lemony Snicket 2, because I don't know if that ever happens!

If they deside to make "Horton Hatches An Egg" I am sure it will be with Jim again.

I don't think there will be a new A Series of Unfortunate Events movie. They should have made it the year after.

Characterman wrote:Next Icons Jim Carrey will do after A Christmas Carol being Mr. Scrooge & Three Christmas Ghosts. Will probably suit his future to come is.

- Ripley's Believe it or Not-(2011) - Robert Ripley

- The Three Stooges - as Moe Howard or as Larry Fine

- The Wonderful Wizard of Oz-(Animation) - Voice as The Scarecrow or Voice as The Tin Man

- 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea: Captain Nemo - as Captain Nemo

- Dr. Seuss Green Eggs & Ham-(Animation) - as Unnamed

- If there is another Peter Pan into the works? He would suit being as Captain Hook.

- If Jim Carrey returns to DC Comics Universe in Film? There will be alot of thinking which character he will play as. Older Joker in Batman Begins Series or Break out of prison Ridder into Batman Begins Series or Lex Luthor in Superman Remake-(The Man of Steel) and or Plastic Man.

Sorry, I wouldn't want to see Jim in most of those.
