First off, you wont find this information anywheres on the net. And I'm not 100% sure if it is true.

But, I heard from a guy that goes to Film school that he had this weekly Hollywood Industry class, where each week a different industry insider comes to talk to all the aspiring film students.

Anyways, one week was Jason Blumenthal, the producer of Pursuit of Happiness and The Weather Man, among other movies.

And he shared a tidbit with his class that about one of his upcoming projects, a comedy called "Pierre Pierre", directed by Jason Reitman. It stars Jim Carrey, who apparently asked Blumenthal and co. to find him a career-rejuvenating script. The only other detail Blumenthal shared was that the script "makes Borat look like Bambi."

And that's all the info I got for this upcoming project.

Here's an interview with Jason Reitman, it's fairly new (Dec 17th) http://www.firstshowing.net/2007/12...-jason-reitman/

I heard a rumor just the other day that said you were in talks to direct a movie called Pierre Pierre. What happened with that?
Jason: Yea. It's a script that I really like. Have you read it?

No, not yet, I just heard about it.
Jason: It's one of the funniest scripts I've ever read.

Is it still in your sights in the future or has it moved on to someone else?
Jason: No, no, I'm absolutely looking at it. You should try to get a copy.

Now THAT would be great news! I'm saying it since ... forever, that Jim Carrey should get more unique projects and more alternative films, serious or less serious. When I think about 'Thank You for Smoking!' or 'Juno', I'm already hoping it's going to happen.
