Just in case some of you guys were wondering what the books are about of Lemony Snickets Unfortunate Events, and because I'm highly thrilled about them, I managed to get my hands on the first book, and I finished reading it, now dying to read the rest.
Jim has the coolest character man!!!!

cableclair.internations.net/939.jpg

His first lines are...:

"Hello hello hello," count Olaf said in a wheezy whisper. He was very tall and very thin, dressed in a grey suit that had many dark stains on it. His face was unshaven and rather than two eyebrows, like most human beings have, he had just one long one. His eyes were very very shiny, which made him look both hungry and angry."Hello, my children. Please step into your new home, and wipe your feet so no mud gets indoors."

So anyways the story in short. He also has a tattoo of an eye on his ankle, just like the ones that are all over his house. The story starts when 3 kids (a 14 year old girl named violet, a small kid who is just starting to talk (girl) and a boy around 7 years old if I remember it well) get to hear their parents died in a horrible fire, so they turn into orphins. Count Olaf is far away relative, but the only one living near enough, so they end up at his place. *points up*. In a nasty situation. They have to share one bed with the three of them, the whole place is dirty, Olaf is an actor, who gives them tasks to do every day and barely shows his face. (heavy tasks like cooking a whole bunch of creeps (his buddies, a man with two hooks in staid of hands, some pale pale women, a individual so fat you can't tell if it's a man or a woman) dinner and cutting logs. (evilllll hehe). He get's pissed at them for cooking the wrong food, hit's the boy (he hit the child, did you see that!? haha), later on has this nasty plan (he's after their fortune, of course) of MARRYING the 14 year old. (he can since he's the one that decides if she can marry or not) but pretends it's just a play. Of course the 14 year old is very smart and finds this out, but they get blackmailed because Olaf-dear had put the smallest kid high up in a cage outside a forbidden tower of his house. In the end, the 14 year old makes sure she signs the marriage papers with the wrong hand so it's not worth a thing, Olaf frustrated as hell of course, BUT this wouldn't be a lemony snicket book if there was even a spark of happyness in it (all so dramatic it's hilarious again in a strange way) MUAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHHAAAA!! Count Olaf escapes after announcing he will be back!!!!! End of book 1.

Isn't that the coolest?

So what I'm guessing, they're going to make a book of all the parts at once. And there is more to be seen from Jim than just this. But I really CAN:T WAITTTTT for this one. How evil can you get? hahahahahah.

cableclair

www.soiledmypants.com<-- my site

Failure isn't failure unless you give up...

I also just read the first book (and ordered the next two already!) and I could visualize Jim being Count Olaf! It's perfect for him. He'll be such a great villain. I hated Count Olaf from the beginning, he's such a strong character. Actually I don't wanna hate Jim... *lol* but I think he can be so good that it will happen!
