Newline stole my Myspace URL

Postby thenumber_23 » Tue Feb 06, 2007 2:05 am

I signed into Myspace today to find this email in my inbox:

Greetings MySpace member,

We’re very sorry for the inconvenience, but you are required to select an alternate MySpace URL immediately. You be prompted to select another URL at your user homepage of MySpace.

Your URL included a brand name and we reserve the right to offer it to the brand to formally set up their presence on MySpace. It’s only with the advertising support of our partners that we are able to keep MySpace free of charge.

Please be advised that we will reset your URL and prompt you to choose a new URL. This process will not affect your profile at all.

Please let us know if you have any questions.

Thanks again for your cooperation and understanding,

MySpace.com

(sorry, posted that too quickly)

My URL used to be http://www.myspace.com/thenumber23

but Newline decided to STEAL it from me

so now it's http://www.myspace.com/theenumber23
(if any of you want to add me, send me a msg with your request)

Why couldn't they have simply put "movie" at the end of the URL instead of STEALING mine that I've had for 3 years or so.
