Liquidating the Carreyholic Collection

PostPosted: Tue Oct 24, 2006 1:02 am
by 1YearFromDead
I was a Carreyholic for over a decade and I amased quite the interesting collection based on Jim and his movies.

I am now ready to trade the pieces of it for wampum to any interested parties.

Why?

Why not?

The first piece is already on the auction block at Ebay under Movie Props and Jim Carrey. It's from Jim Carrey's 1994 smash hit film, "The Mask." You'll recognize it.

Other things I'll be selling include complete press kits from studios from past Jim Carrey films, rare non-sport Carrey-themed trading cards, Carrey-theme toys, assorted movie merchandise, and mint-condition old magazines featuring Carrey.

I decided I'd let the Carreyholics have first crack at it because the most interest would be here.

If you're at all interested in specifics of what I have, drop me an Email at bcdavis@bcdavis.com, or PM me here at the forum.

Thanks!

Scripts? Yes

Yeah, I have scripts, but not the more recent ones like FWD&J. I have older ones, and also a couple that were never made - like "The Incredible Mr. Limpet" and "The Secret Life of Walter Mitty." Those are going up, too.

Maybe I should just... post a list... or something...?

Ask Tommy to do a auction on here. He did it before.

Hmm..... Auction? Idea...

Maybe I should. I got a bit of stuff and not enough room for it all... It needs new homes.

Here's my scripts list:

"Ace Ventura: Pet Detective" (Shooting Draft)
"Ace Ventura: Curse of the Wahiti" (1st Draft of "When Nature Calls")
"Batman Forever" (2nd Draft)
"Bijou, The" (1st Draft of "The Majestic")
"Cable Guy, The" (Shooting Draft)
"Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind" (1st Draft)
"Grinch, The" (5th Draft)
"Incredible Mr. Limpet, The" (1st Draft - Never Produced - Carrey's name is on it, though)
"In Living Color: Various 1st Season Skits" (Shooting Draft)
"Liar Liar" (Rough Working draft)
"Man on the Moon" (1st Draft)
"Man on the Moon" (7th draft)
"Mask, The" (3rd/Shooting Draft)
"Me, Myself & Irene" (1st Draft)
"Misled and Uninformed" (Polished Draft of later "Dumb & Dumber")
"Once Bitten" (4th Draft)
"Secret Life of Walter Mitty" (1st Draft - not yet produced)
"Truman Show, The" (1st Draft)

That's all of them. Two of them, as you can probably guess, will be a bit higher in price than the rest because they're tougher to get as scripts go. I have stories to go along with those two scripts on how I got them. Actually, three scripts, now that I can remember. hehehe.

I have LOTS of stories on how I got stuff in my collection. Lots of memories... The memories I'll happily keep - they don't take up any room.

I'll post a couple more lists of stuff I have to see if you folks are interested. If you are, I'll ask about an auction.

Press Kits List

PostPosted: Tue Oct 24, 2006 7:01 pm
by 1YearFromDead
Here's the Press Kits list of the Press Kits I have:

"Ace Ventura: When Nature Calls": (Has folder, production info and loose glossy b/w photos.)

"Cable Guy, The": (Has folder, production info, and packet of many glossy b/w photos.)

"Dumb & Dumber": (The best one! Tons of stuff! Production info, multiple color slides w/pictures of them I had printed included, packet of many b/w glossy photos, and a printed backwards folder.)

"Liar Liar": (Folder, production info, loose glossy b/w photos.)

"Majestic, The": (Folder, production info, packet of glossy b/w photos.)

"Mask, The": (No "official" folder came with it, so I designed one for it. Folder comes with it, production info, packet many glossy b/w photos.)

"Me, Myself & Irene": The coolest one! The folder is a "wiggle animation" folder. Jim's picture on the front switches between Charlie and Hank as you move it to look at it. Comes with tons of stuff too: with cool folder, production info, packet of glossy b/w photos, and many colored slides.)

"Truman Show, The": (Folder and a production information booklet.)

In the next couple of days, I'll be posting everything I'm selling on my own Website, with pictures, so you can actually see it for yourself. Better than trying to explain it.

Like I said, I have lots of stuff to go through. :)

Autograph Piece

I used to have 3 autograph pieces, now I only have one left.

The Jim Carrey autographed piece I have is a b/w glossy photo of him as Andy Kaufman from "Man on the Moon." But the signature is a bit rarer to find because it's signed BOTH "Jim Carrey" AND "Andy."

Yes, if anybody is interested, that's going, too.

Auction Catalogue Site Now Up!

Okay. I've created a Website devoted to showing off all the items I want to auction off in "BC's Jim Carrey Memorabilia and Collectibles Auction" being held on JCO here.

The site is a catalogue site. It shows all the items with pictures, their complete description, and the starting bid price for each lot.

Personally, I would like to hold the auction a week from today, on Saturday, December 02, 2006, at 6:00p.m. CST, 4:00p.m. PST, 5:00p.m. MST,
7:00p.m. EST, here on JCO.

If you're at all interested, you can take a look at the catalogue at the following URL:

http://bcdavis.com/AuctionBlock/auctionblock.htm (Yes, you can click on the link.)

Thanks for looking!

Change of Venue?

I've been considering a change of venue...

I've been getting vibes off Tommy he doesn't want the auction here. So, I found a new place. EBOSA.

Maybe he's uncomfortable with it. Maybe he just doesn't like the idea of me auctioning off the collectibles. I told him my reasoning. But, everybody has a nose. So, to avoid conflict of interests, I'll back out from here, and go elsewhere. It's easiest on everybody.

If you're interested AT ALL, the URL for the auction (it'll be over the next few days) is:
http://www.ebosa.com/

Just do a search for items "Jim Carrey" and you'll find what you're looking for. Uh... but give me time to put them up there first. Thanks.

Hi Brooke. I have sent an email to you.

Okay. Deep breaths from running all over the Internet.

Got the Email. Miss communication.

We're gonna do this. The press kits and scripts are at auction at EBOSA for a ten day auction. Do a search under Jim Carrey and you'll find 'em all.

The Autograph for the Robert Silvers sig "Truman Show" poster for a ten day auction is currently on at Ebay.

Everything else will be done here for a live auction in the Auction Forum because, as I just got it, Tommy likes the idea after all. And trust me, I got plenty of stuff to go around.

Got it? Down, set, hike!

*Runs around like chicken with her head cut off - swears to god...*
