Hey Jen,

I'm pretty sure you're secret is safe with us here, we're quite the respective bunch most of the time. (though realise that posting this on a public message board everyone can read it).

Anyway, I couldn't resist replying because I'm curious, you say you have had this since you were born, but what I'm wondering is, over the years did it get worse? Like do you know how it is not to have whatever it is you have?

I can understand how you'd get frustrated. I think that's one of the main reason so many old people and people with a sudden disability for example, are bitter. I think it has a lot to do with the fact that they can't do the stuff they could easely in the past, everything takes longer.

Don't ever be ashamed for yourself. It's what's makes you you and makes you unique and special.

cableclair

www.soiledmypants.com<-- my site
Failure isn't failure unless you give up...

Hello friend, There is no shame in having a disability. There are alot of people with vision difficulties...you are not alone. Try to be a little more confident with people, if someone asks about it, explain to them about your disability. Some people are ignorant about such things and say the wrong things, others are just afraid of saying the wrong things. Hey! You have to educate these people! Once someone gets to know you...they forget the disability...they see you, a living, breathing person in her own right. Dry those eyes and begin to lead the life you want.....€

You know what I liked best about Jims speech at the choice awards?

He unpowered it by making a face right after it. And I think he did that because it's such a vulnerable thing to say, and it's scary because when you are vulnerable and yourself you find yourself afraid of not being accepted, being rejected because of that.

But he said: "I just like people." And he meant it. It came from his core.

You know what? I do too. It's in the huge small things. Like being vulnerable.

You don't have to educate people, I think. I think you just have to be you.

It's tough to love yourself ey. I think we all cope with this.

We're okay! VERY okay! Yes that includes you!

....
.......
..........

so and now it's my turn to feel vulnerable.

GROUPHUGGG!!!

(I secretly mean it though)
cableclair

www.soiledmypants.com<-- my site
Failure isn't failure unless you give up...
Edited by: cableclair at: 1/20/04 11:01 pm

HEY!!!!

Postby JC » Wed Jan 21, 2004 9:10 pm

Hey guys I'm back! I was gone for awhile and now I am back. It's good to be back, I missed you all.
Well, as I was surfing all the posts, I ran into this one, and was instantly curious, and had to put my thoughts down. So Friend, how are ya. I'm doing well, although I am going thru some really hard times--- like a divorce. I know Jim has gone thru 2, and this is my first, and last hopefully. I'm not reading for a serious relationship right now, or for a long time. Gotta get my life straighted out first, and stablize my myself emtionally and mentally. I believe in God, pray daily, and go to church regularily. I'm not trying to look like a goody-goody, it's just what is very important to me. I look to him for guidance and help, and I have a very intimate relationship with Him.
Anyways, Like I said before, it's good to be back with Jim-lovers, and, Jim, if this is you, this is a very good way of messing with our minds, so fess up, because I know I would hate to be dissapointed in someone who is trying to "play God" and be all all-wise and stuff. Have a nice day!!
Lori

hey guys, I don't think this is Jim Carrey, the actor/comedian. THe actor doesn't have as much time as this guy. I feel like we're in a vulnerable situation here. I feel like we're talking to a Ouija board. strange. . . wish this guy would tell us who he is but if he wants to remain anonymous, then fine. just don't give him your number, address, phone number and if you do don't put on this board for everyone else to see. later!

Peggy

Hello friends, I am just an ordinary person who likes people. If I can help someone by suggesting a few different options, then I will. It is their free will to do what they want. I do not play at being God, I never have and I never will. There are too many fools doing that already. I respect people's religions, they give a great source of comfort to alot of people. I am not particularly religious having had alot forced on me when I was young. I am more a spiritualist than anything else. No, I do not mess around with ouija boards...no one should. I meet with likeminded people, it is a very gentle, rewarding, philosophical experience. It does not suit everyone, but then we all have different needs......€
