I found this in EMPIRE magazine (February 2005 edition).
Silberling and Carrey are keen to return for the sequel (which will mostly be drawn from the fifth book, The Austere Academy), but he's unsure if his young stars will be able to make it. "Liam actually grew four inches during filming!" laughs Silberling. "Emily is 15, but she assures me that she's never gonna change because her mom is small. And unfortunately the infants who play Sunny will have to be recast, because those little girls will be heading off to school." (They're so cute though!!)
Here's somthing funny.
(Carrey on Scheming)
Carrey's Olaf torments the Baudelaires. "It was easy to get a real hate on for those kids," says Carrey. "Especially the little ones, the monkeys. I swear to God, if you're not giving 'em an M&M or something, they're impossible." Silberling says Carrey was keen to indulge in villainy. "Jim loved that he was unrepentant. It's very pure. He slaps Klaus in the face, which is the most violent moment in the movie. He was trying to be the villain he would want to see if he were 14 years old!"
This magazine is so cool! They've also got some really cool stuff of Eternal Sunshin of The Spotless Mind.... go get it!!!
"I decided that I wanted to make movies that would uplift people." - Jim Carrey

Anyway, I love book six it's awesome and I was wondering how they were going to do the next movie, I mean they have to, cause of all the unanswered questions; What was with all the fires? What was up with the spyglasses? and so on. Of course if you haven't read the books I STRONGLY URGE YOU TO!!!

If the sequel is going to based on the austere academy, that means they'll be having Carmelita Spats, Mr Remora, and Vice Principle Nero in it. Mr Remora is my favourite character from the Austere Academy!
"One day i went shopping, i bought a carton of milk, when i got home i drank it all and watched tv. the end"- Mr Remora, the austere academy.[/quote]

they wont make a sequel... Jim wont do it, plus there is nothing as of yet schedualed (disregard what people said earlier) and the books get to hard to intertwine and get a good visual movie out of them...

When I real LOTR, I those books would be difficult to put into film,
but it was done. I would not doubt the capabilites of HOLLYWOOD.
I believe, with alot of imagination, most things are possible.
